Skytree Release Date and 3oT Preorder Bonus | Posted at 09:49 AM 07 October 2016
This week Natsume began revealing more details about the bachelors in Harvest Moon: Skytree Village. First up is Cyril the aristocrat from a far-away place. He is traveling the world to see how the common folk live, as he has lived a sheltered life. The poor guy may be a little inexperienced with life outside his little bubble, but he has an honest heart and wants to always do the right thing. The next bachelor is Gabriel, a young man with an attachment to animals. His mom, Sofia, is the local livestock keeper and he has a little brother, Michael. Gabriel is a bit shy around non-animal beings, but perhaps you can warm up to him and get him to chat. Next up will be the third bachelor, Dean, and the three bachelorettes: Elise, Jeanne, and Melanie. Also released was a new trailer for Skytree Village that explains the story a little bit from the point of view of Mike, the male protagonist. The new video showcases the upgraded tools that finally allow you to do crop management more than one at a time, and features the most awesome Doc showing his smexy side. Yea, he invents things too, and lives in a weird makeshift metal house in the village, but we all know his real purpose is to be a forbidden marriage fruit. In small print at the end of the trailer is the game's North American release date: November 8, 2016. Rising Star Games will be handling the European release scheduled for Quarter 1 (Jan/Feb/Mar) 2017. plushie promo imageXSeed also announced the North America preorder bonus for Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns. The hand-held pocket plushie Capybara will be given as a bonus to farmers who preorder the latest version of Story of Seasons. The plushie is 3-and-a-half inches tall, which is about the same size as the bunny plushie preorder bonus item (counting its ear height too) from the last game release. It appears to have a little loop on its head where a strap would connect if it came with one; the bunny had the loop because the bunny was originally a phone strap preorder bonus item from Japan's release of the game. The Marvelous JP preorder bonus for Trio of Towns was a plastic bubble cow phone strap with a little suction cup on its butt, which allows you to stick it to your phone to hold your phone upright on its own. There were also a ridiculous number of retail-specific preorder bonuses to celebrate the series' 20th anniversary. The preorder bonus is currently being promoted at Gamestop and Video Games Plus, but has not been included yet at Best Buy, Newegg, or Amazon. XSeed also announced a retail price drop to $29.99 USD for the first Story of Seasons game. Until next time! - Cher (Skytree, Pokemon, and Final Fantasy 15 in the same month?! Overload!)
