LDC Recipe Search and LoH is out Next Tuesday | Posted at 04:02 PM 25 May 2018
Happy Farm'n Friday! The Tsamma Melon seeds have done nothing for the four weeks they've been sitting dormant in their growth cups. To help them along, I've clipped the tips of the oblong seeds with fingernail clippers, then put them a wet paper towel inside of a plastic bag. It's been another few days and they might be making a bit of headway. These dang seeds are tough!

Little Dragons Cafe Update

Marvelous' website for the Japanese release of Little Dragons Cafe has updated to explain the ingredients players will need to collect to learn how to cook dishes at the cafe. Players will have to forage for various items around the island as well as catch fish in the ocean or river. You can even harvest ingredients in the cafe's field and pond. Some ingredients come from the monsters who also live on the mysterious island, which you may need help from your little dragon to defeat. To learn new recipes, bring four ingredients to Pappy (the older fellow who initially gives you the dragon egg) and he'll teach you a new recipe to cook such as Udon, Chocolate Sundae, and Mont Blanc. Marvelous also revealed two new characters in the game. Poncho is a little kid who admires the legendary hero, Taicho, so he travels the world to be just like his idol. Problem is the little fellow gets a bit of nervous indigestion when things go bad, causing him to run for the bathroom. The other character is Rosetta, a girl who hates her father so much that she ran away from home. Aksys Games hasn't revealed any new information about the English release of the game, but E3 coming up in a few weeks!

Light of Hope Releases Next Tuesday

The latest Natsume game in the Harvest Moon series, Light of Hope will be released on Nintendo Switch and Playstation 4 next Tuesday (29th) in North America. The console versions will be an upgraded version of the PC version that was released last November on Steam. A few of the known upgrades from the earlier version include: The Switch version puts the game back on a handheld device, but this week another method of playing on handheld was released. The Android version of the Steam Link was released on the Google app store, which allows a mirroring (of sorts) of the Steam game currently being played on the host PC. Now we can play our existing save games while in bed, finally! Aaaah Doc, I've waited sooooooo long... (Now just let me win that dang Advanced-level dog race. So frustrating!) Since the game natively supports touch-screen devices it fits pretty good on Android tablets. The Steam Link is still a little hiccupy from time to time, so the screen jitters on occasion, but in general it plays Light of Hope without much issue. The downside is the iOS version of the Steam Link app for Apple devices was rejected by Apple and is not currently available. At the moment Light of Hope can't be played through Steam Link on iPad devices, but maybe some day in the future it could happen. Until next time! - Cher (Cayenne pepper power is keeping the tree rats away from the sunflower sprouts, for now anyway...)
