The Ushi No Tane websites specialize in information, FAQs, and guides about the Nintendo console versions of the Harvest Moon, Story of Seasons, and Legend of the River King video games. These game genres are created and published in Japan by Marvelous. In other regions, you'll find Natsume, XSeed Games, Marvelous AQL of Europe, and Rising Star involved in the series' release.

The latest version of the mainstream farming series in various regions of the world are:

The latest version of River King, in all regions of the world, is River King: Mystic Valley (NA 2008, EU 2009).

Since 2000, Ushi no Tane has been run by a grouchy old lady who happens to be fond of video game agriculture along with two feline interns. The website is not officially affiliated, sponsored, endorsed, or employed by the developers of Harvest Moon, Story of Seasons, or River King. This is simply a fan site.

LoH Release, June Moble Events, and LDC Update | Posted at 01:00 AM on 02 June 2018
Happy Farm'n Friday! I've given up on germinating the Tsamma Melon seeds. Only two of them sprouted after cracking their shell, and even then the sprouts were very weak and soon stopped growing. Looks like it'll be watermelons again for this year! At least Potatoland is coming along nicely. Cayenne Pepper is keeping the tree rats away from the dahlias, though now there's a mystery insect that has completely eaten the Dill and the leaves off the Marigolds. If it's not one thing, it's another, right?

Little Dragon Cafe Update

This week Marvelous revealed some new characters in Wada's new game, Little Dragon Cafe:

The official Japanese site also explains how players will be exploring the island with the dragon, using the little buddy to reach other areas to collect more ingredients for cooking dishes at the cafe. As the game progresses, the little dragon will become large enough to break obstacles, push rocks, and even fly around.
There are also 20 color options the little dragon can become based on the food players feed it as it grows. The dragon can also produce a fertilizer that can be used in the field to produce even rarer ingredients for cooking.

Light of Hope RELEASED!

The latest Harvest Moon game was released last Tuesday on the Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch consoles. I anticipate having the chance to dive deep into it this weekend in between planting actual crops (Bush Beans and Bib Lettuce!), though I've had a chance to play about two hours so far since its release. There's been a few changes so far from the PC version that released last November:

For the Switch players, Doc is featured in the News Channels section, publishing his Doc's Exciting Harvest Moon Report featuring inside information and news straight from the genius himself (or someone pretending to be his magnificence). So far Doc has posted articles about the game such as the first Download Content that is now available. The DLC will add an additional tool upgrade for the Hoe and Watering can, which I'm imagining won't be available until after you upgrade those tools to the Sacred tool level.

Until next time!

(There's only five months left before it is Christmas light installation time! So hyped for this year's additions!)
