ANB 3DS Theme and PF Info |
Posted at 01:28 PM 11 March 2016In Japan,
Bokujou Monogatari: Hajimari no Daichi or better known as
Harvest Moon: A New Beginning is being released as a Happy Price Selection on March 17. Similar to the Nintendo Select series for North America, the re-release will be sold for a discounted price of 2700 Yen (approximately $23 USD). The game originally was released for 4800 yen ($42 USD) in February 2012.

To celebrate, Marvelous and Nintendo have added a
Hajimari 3DS downloadable theme to the JP Theme Shop. The 3DS main menu theme costs 200 yen and requires 30 blocks of SD space. The background music is the Summer Season theme with leaf designs on the main menu folders. The top screen displays the artwork of the game's marriage candidates, starting from Allen and moving east through the bachelors before display the available bachelorettes. As you scroll left and right through the 3DS main menu, the top screen scrolls to reveal more candidate artwork. The bottom screen artwork of the house-lifting protagonist and farm animals is static.
While it is nice to see old-man Soseki front and center on the top screen, I think the bottom screen background is a bit too busy. It clashes with the badges I have placed that highlight the greatness of Tingle and his love of Rupees. You can see a full version of the scrolling top screen artwork by checking out Marvelous' press release:
For their upcoming game
Story of Seasons: Precious Friends of the 3 Hometowns, the series' character designer, Igusa Matsuyama, has created a special desktop wallpaper celebrating the Japanese Hana Matsuri Festival. You can download the desktop wallpaper in a variety of screen resolutions from the official Bokumono website for
Precious Friends:
The official website has also been updated with information about the
courtship system in
Precious Friends. It confirms that you talk to people and give gifts to raise friendship. So far we've seen white, purple, blue, green, and red flower colors on the marriage candidates. Once you reach a blue flower color with someone, you give a going-steady pendant to confirm your commitment to the relationship. At the point when you've completed all of the marriage requirements, give the person their hometown's proposal item to become married. Each town will have a different style of wedding ceremony. The website shows the Westown wedding with Auntie Megan acting as the master of ceremony.

After marriage you can have a child, but no information yet as to whether you choose the gender or if you obtain twins like in the first rendition of
Story of Seasons. The child's visual appearance takes after the person you marry, as the official site specifically states that the kid in the screen shot is Wayne's child.
Until next time!
