Status Effects
As you are fighting monsters you might be afflicted with status affects. When you are under the influence of an affect you'll see a little icon under your HP and RP bars, in the upper left corner of the screen.
You can always use the Medication spell to cure your ailments, except for when you're suffering from Sealing, You can buy Medication from the Library for 3000 G. If you don't have any Rune Points to use for casting then you'll have to fall back to using potions.

If you don't have the required potion head back to Edward's Clinic in the village. He will cure you of anything you're afflicted with for a fee of 200 G. The clinic is open from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm on most days, but is only open from 9:00 am until noon on the weekend.
