Fishing Pole
On your first few days of the game, you can get a free Fishing Pole. Go to Zack's house on Mineral Beach between 11:30 am and 4:30 pm. Inside you'll find Zack looking around at some of his shipping crates. He notices you coming in and calls you over. Zack says he found an old Fishing Pole that use to belong to a friend of his. Zack doesn't need it and gives it to you.
To use your Fishing Pole you have to equip it, then press the A Button while standing next to water. If you see a ! appear above your head, press the A Button again to reel in the fish. You can find more information in the fishing section.
