Animal Information
Since it takes so long to collect the amount of wool necessary to free up Betty, Chamy, and Ole, those who desire a faster method can use Lord Bap's Sheep Sheering Sheat to speed up the process. It's a little confusing to get started but once you see the method it'll be more clear.
Note: This appears to have been corrected in the English version of Harvest Moon DS Cute.
First off you'll need an adult sheep with a full body of fur. Make sure you have put the sheep inside your barn so as to prevent the passage of time. Push the sheep against a wall to prevent it from wandering around, equip your Touch Glove and Clippers, and then start the sheering mini game.
Step 1: Between the legs
Rub the stylus between the sheep's legs until you have registered a Small
Wool size on the scoreboard in the left corner. Once you reach that point
then stop the mini game by pressing any button on your DS.
Step 2: The head
When you start the game again, rub around the sheep's head until you receive
a Small Wool. Quit out of the game again.
Step 3: The rear end
Now it's time to clip off some butt-fur. Rub around the sheep's tail until you
reach the Small Wool size again.
The Loop Begins Here
Step 4A: Upper middle belly
At this point there will only be 3 patches of Wool left on the sheep. The
area you want to shave will be the middle-upper section, but you won't be
taking it all off! Start from the bottom half of the patch and rub around
until you get a small piece. It will not take much effort at all, and you
will barely take any of the wool off the sheep.
Step 4B: Lower middle belly
Now that you've started again you'll notice the wool between the sheep's
legs has magically grown back and the fur on the back legs are gone!
Rub between the sheep's legs again until a small size has formed.
Step 4C: Upper middle belly
You've shaved the middle so there are 2 pieces remaining. Just like with
Step 4A, start at the lower half of the middle section and rub just a little
bit until you reach a small size. It won't take you very long!
Step 4D: Lower middle belly
Ooh it seems the middle wool has grown back again, along with the wool on
the right and left legs. Go ahead and rub off the wool between the sheep's legs
until a small size is reached.
Return to Step 4A
At this point the wool regrowth will circle back to Step 4A, where you can repeat the clipping cycle all over again. The wool will continue to regrow on the belly as long as you don't mess up a step. You can even stop to recharge your stamina and continue on exactly at the same spot you left off at in this infinite loop.
