Cliff compliments Nathan on his nice church, and tells the priest that he goes to the church back home in Mineral Town. Nathan asks what the faith is of the Mineral Town church but Cliff is really not sure! Cliff says that priest Carter is very unconventional and tells everyone to look inside themselves to find their own faith. What each person believes in should be unique. Nathan thinks that is an interesting way to look at things, and Carter must of studies some texts to reach that conclusion.
Cliff figures that Carter is probably just making it up as he goes along, but Nathan doesn't think so. He would like to discuss it with Carter some day. Cliff invites Nathan to visit Mineral Town some day.
