As a little reassurance, though...because we'd already had our game for those 8 to 9 months, most of us had already played our main files all the way through and had loads of fun well before the DLC came out...so it really is just extra content, not anything necessary to make the game worthwhile, unless the ONLY part a person was interested in was marrying Inari. Though the DLC doesn't let you live with or have meals with Inari anyway, which would be the part I'd care about...it just adds a child for Inari. The extra content is fun, but it's just a perk.
The base game is very good all by itself, imo...and most other people I've heard talking about it say the same thing.
