Ok so how do you know what flower lvl you are with the villagers? Do they change color too?

So I just caught 2 of them. Is there any point to them??

Im so angry! I have Cam to the blue flowers.. but i cant seem to get past the blue flowers!! He's been at them forever! I give him flowers and dates all the time (well, when i can). I even did the both heart events! Grrrr maybe im just not patient enough. I guess my question is.. does it take anyone...
