FWIW, some of the categories are kinda wonky; I had maxed out cotton (only one stat!), and lost. Mr. D entered flax. Maxed flax might have won, however. I think the less stats a crop or critter has, the higher you might need to be with each stat. I ended up winning the Expert with a bunny I didn't t...

Yeah, the volume fertilizer comes in incredibly handy if you're running up against a season deadline--or just need a lot of something slow growing. For reharvestable stuff, it does wear off, but I think you get extra for a harvest or two.

Later on you'll unlock other fields that take the other soils. If you're at the start of the game, the dry soil is all you can use anyway. But switching to the "soft" fields right away (I forget what they are called in English) is a good idea, because stuff grows a lot faster on them. Unl...

Yeah, the boiled egg recipe (sort of my standby) isn't available until criminally late in this game. Also, once again we have a farmer who is too dumb to boil an egg without specific instructions. Sigh. Early game I mostly survived on meals with Noel and Miranda; every other day she has a meal that ...

Okay, first of all, Ford should have his medical license revoked. Clearly unethical. Tsk tsk. But anyway, generally this one works out well for me, only hit the whammy once. FWIW, this (and all the part time jobs) seem to pay more based probably on character affection and possibly on town rank. Star...

Yes. They are random. If you save before exiting your house and triggering the event, you can reload until you get a better reward. That's what I thought. I won't bother savescumming, I know how available gems are in general with a couple hammer upgrades and I have what I need for the seedmaker. I ...

So, just wondering. Are the rewards from Dessie for bug hunting randomized? Because a friend and I are getting very, VERY different rewards, and I am getting different stuff than I did on my playthrough. My friend got topaz and jade; I've gotten nothing but animal treats and fertilizer (both on Orig...

I believe Rising Star is handling it. If I remember correctly, TLV was released in Multi-5, so that does mean a lot of translation and localization work. I think it was about a 6 month gap between TLV in US and in EU, so I'd expect you'll be hearing something fairly soon. As for the art style in TLV...

Do wild plants like Moondrop Flowers count for the flower shipping quests they give you right away in the game? The job guy keeps yelling at me. :/

No, they do not. Only flowers you grow/can grow count for those requests.

My farmer is definitely not me. I am far too lazy, and I can't keep a plant alive to save my life.

I did my playing in Japanese on Seedling mode, because y'know...I figured not being able to read was enough of a handicap LOL. Started in on Original, and yeah, the stamina drain at first is just nuts. Having the Charmer perk is so, so handy for those free meals! I did get "lunch-blocked" ...

Yeah, you need to really smack that wood around with the first axe.

FWIW, you can also buy lumber if you'd rather do that and you've got the funds.
