Good or not?

I was just wondering if this game was anything like or as good as island of happiness or sunshine islands???
I was thinking about buying it but would it be any good compared to the others that I mentioned above?
Also what are the best / worst things about this game? If there are any that is

Well you can't really compare this game to SI and IoH since those games have a Challenging gameplay while this and most other HMs have a relaxed gameplay. That should say enough. But I do love HMDS/DSC. They are pretty fun but the really bad thing about HMDS is all the glitches! O_o Well that's for versions before v1.1 but I don't know how you can make sure you get HMDS v1.1

HMDS Cute on the other hand is much better with glitches. There's barely any.

I really love HMDS/Cute, SI and IoH are awesome too. I think that you might like it, it's not 3Dish like the other games but its a great game!! :D

I love these games. They're my favorites of the handhelds. The graphics aren't as good as IoH and SI, and some people aren't too crazy about the marriage candidates in Cute, but they're still really good. They have a lot of features (records, casino, mine creatures you have to kill) that aren't present in other games. But, again, DS is really glitchy, and there has been many a horror story about corrupted data. Plus, the save files. The horrible, horrible save files. *shudders*

That aside, I definitely recommend these games.

Well, I think that the HMDSC has been one of the best handheld ones that I've played, mostly because I really enjoy being able to take as much time as I need to accomplish everything in the game. That being said, the bachelors aren't fantastic (even though I love my Kai) and not having a set time to finish the goals of the game can actually make it a little boring at times.

They really are two different types of games, and if you're not totally sure about if you'll like it or not, you could try to rent it or borrow it from a friend first, if either of those are options for you. Also, some smaller game sellers will allow you to play it and return it if you don't like it within a few days.

So hopefully there wont be that many glitches...fingers crossed!
I forgot to mention earlier that I had also played more friends of mineral town (GBA) so the "not great graphics" shouldn't be a problem.
From what you have said and what I have read about the game I think I may get it! But I might wait a while to buy it since I will hopefully get grand bazaar on the 24th when it comes out

Are things like shipping and the animals similar in this game? It doesn't really matter if it isn't...I was just wondering.

HMDS Cute has few if any glitches so you're safe there. It has your usual animals (cows, sheep, chickens, horse, dog) with ducks and a pet cat added. And for shipping, it's pretty much the same. It's closest to how you shipped in FoMT/MFoMT.

I think you'd like the game. If you like challenges (as in getting sprites), then I recommend it. Making money is pretty easy though. And so is courting, except for the MT villagers. It takes more time.

It's one of my favourite Harvest Moon games, personally. I definitely prefer it over IoH/SI, but that's just me. Not really sure what you like in a game. :x There's a lot of stuff to accomplish. It would take a long time to literally accomplish everything considering crops/animals can level up to 100, there are plenty of Farm Degree ranks to clime, and, of course, 101 Sprites to collect. Plus it's my favourite character cast. I like it a lot. :3
