Very true, and sadly, I must agree. It IS really annoying though when half of the topics of discussion are consistent of "WAAHHHH! THEY CHANGED THIS PERSON'S NAME!!!!11!!!1" or "We should BOYCOTT IT and COMPLAIN!!! WAHHH!" No, you're right Ice. People should just a) get over it, or b) not care about it. Personally, I just go with option "b", because it's only a name, a fictional name. Who gives a flying frick about it? Overall, it's still the same character, and it's still the same game, none of that changes, sheesh. D:

I luff you for doing this. <3 It was okay to whine in the first week from the shock, but some people just won't stop. I have to admit that I don't like the name, 'Shea' but he'll always be Shiba to me. I think it's pretty obvious why some people are whining...
Regardless of name changes, Shiba/Shea and Danny/Denny are still my boys! >:D Nothing will keep them and my pixelated girl away from each other; especially something as silly as a name change.

actually in HMDS japanese version, they make the setting 100 years later after awl and those chars are descendant from previous one,
so that's why every chars have different name than awl one, while in NA one, Natsume just keep them have same name with their ancestor
even Nami still stays Nami in both version of AWL, but she's Nasuka here
people might be not complain and blabber much about HMDS, AWL, MM, STH or any other older HM games since there's maybe not much information/player about japanese game compare with new HM nowadays, where the information about japanese game are leaking everywhere, include name and events
i never bother with it, i call them whatever i like and whichever name pops up in my mind whenever i see his/her topic, since i usually play both game
i always go 'lawl' whenever i see stupid name changes topics or posts (not the one for information, but just for complaint), and i laugh harder whenever i see any 'boycott natsume' messages
Vaughn is better than Vaults or Valuts or whatever he called, i never think that name is great to begin with
and Elliot or Shea, i like the name's Elliot and no comment with Shea since i really have no idea about Shea Butter things
Denny and Lanna sound a little strange for me though, since i rarely hear that kind of name

It IS one thing for the initial shock, as I believe someone else just pointed out (Hikari Rose, Syvle, agreed), but to have SO MANY not-so-unique topics all « Baaaa *glomp* » and whining about the same « Snuggly Bunny » thing, the name change thing... Seriously, that's where it gets old and annoying fast. *sigh* Children these days.
It's definitely initial shock. Most of us are in a "first impression bias" from this whole thing.
I bet if the name was initially Vaughn and it was changed to Vaults, everyone would be like "« What The Eggplant » Vaults that's not even a real name he's like a bank vault lol".
Same way with AWL players. Most of them like AWL because its the first HM they've played, others not liking it because "it's not like other HMs"
So to repeat on what Icewings said, build a bridge and get over it. P:

See I ah-dore name changes because they make a game seem newer! Imagine how people will freak once they seewhat the new ToT names will be. ( I, too, will admit I'll be a little bummed at first) but I'll get over it. Over all thistopic shows the HUGE ammount of names changed and we , cough them, didn't freak out so why now!
