So...
I know there's a few differences between this game and IoH, the main being Will and Suiren.
I know that you can use the D-Pad in this game, which was my main gripe with IoH.
But...
Is there really any other differences? Like, any dramatic ones?
I feel really stupid for asking, but I'm debating whether or not to get this when it comes out - based on how alike it is to IoH.

I've been wondering this myself, so I've been all over the 'nets finding answers.
The premise is different. You aren't shipwrecked from what I hear, you just decide to settle on the island(s). You are trying to raise other islands by collecting sunstones, which you can get from shipping 100 of a crop, befriending people, stuff like that.
There's a cat and a pig for pets, and the pig, dog, and horse come in two different colors. You can't ride the horse, but you can play a mini game where it pulls a sled and you use the microphone. The pig can hunt truffles for you.
New livestock that must be unlocked in the form of black chickens, brown spotted cows, and pinkish sheep with black faces.
Will, Suiren, Witchy's niece.
Only 8 subvillagers.
Harvest sprites that seem to be able to do an even bigger variety of things than ever- you can even use them to change shop prices for a day.
An animal island, where befriending the animals causes them to get items for you.
Wifi trading of items as well as returning voice chat from IoH.
Different options for wallpaper in your house.
The removal of rival kids, but the addition of wedding outfits.
That's about all I can remember right now...

That's... an awful lot of new features. Many thanks to the both of you.
I'm really wondering why I didn't wait for SSaF to come out. There's islands to explore? More animals? Suiren? Score. .
Does anyone know if you start out with the townsfolk, or if you have to have them arrive on the island like IoH?

I don't have money to thank you with. Can I just touch you instead?eyeofnewt wrote:I've been wondering this myself, so I've been all over the 'nets finding answers.

But srsly, that's a lot of stuff. Just might buy it.
-Fishing and Mining Points, which makes Fishing and Mining is not as easy as IoH
-Harder to get and control Wonderfuls
-Random Events (in IoH, there's almost no random events)
-Harvest Sprites can help you
-New Livestocks, Pets and Wild Animals
-Better Town Layout which make you waste less time (at least in my opinion)
-Can visit townspeople and shop at Festival day, and townspeople will give you present for your birthday
-Easier to ship items
- Most townspeople are there from beginning, except Will, Suiren, Majou-chama, Witch, Goddess, Alyssa, Roven, Shiba, Wada
-Normal Heart Event System (Not branching like IoH)
That's what i can remember now, for some noticeable/important changes
