I tried to draw the other day but I haven't drawn anything in a long time and I don't have any pencils, so I totally failed. I'll try later ;A;

Shizue is wearing a pink sweater and ponytail this winter but I just unlocked a buttload of new outfits from Yuri, so hopefully she can wear something that is both warm and not...a man's clothes...soon. Although I think it looks cute as girls' clothes, too.

emmeline has pale white skin and wide light blue eyes. she has long blonde hair, though she frequently dyes it various pastel colors (pink, light blue, lavender or white). but she always returns to blonde. she likes to keep her hair long and straight, never really changing her hairstyle unless for some special occasion.

emmeline hates pants and will never wear them. as such, all of her outfits are dresses or skirts. her favourite outfits that she wears are:

neutral :: very dream like stupor~ she has a very serene smile, very innocent. her eyes are super wide, like a doe, but seem almost a little vacant as if day dreaming. (think luna lovegood and alison harvard)

happy :: her eyes are sparkling, a light blush to her face. her eyes are raised high and her mouth is open in a large smile. her hands are clasped together in front of her.

sad :: her eyes are down cast and visible tears are in the corners of her eyes. she's slightly biting her lip to keep herself from crying, a thin line. she has her right hand over her left collarbone area as if to keep herself together.

confused / disappointed :: her mouth is pucked in an almost perfect heart and her brows are furrowed. her eyes are down cast as if staring at the floor. there's a sort of vacant 'in her head' concentration in her eyes. her left hand is near her chin, a few fingers are gently touching her bottom lip.

anger :: her hands are on her hips and she's leaning slightly forwards. she has her lips pursed tight with a bit of puff to her cheeks (like the over done anime angry puff of cheeks, but not as over the top). her eyes are narrowed deeply and there is a tear at the corner of her left eye.

blushing :: her head is tilted slightly to the left side. her eyes are wide open, but she is blushing profusely. her mouth is almost a cross between a surprised 'o' and a smile. she has her right hand resting over her right collarbone.

personality ::

emmeline is incredibly kind, polite and sweet. she addresses almost every one as 'sweets'. she's a dreamer and as a result, spaces out quite a lot while farming or foraging. she always seems to be in a daze, walking around as if the ground were clouds. she's quite eccentric in this way and can seem quite weird to people passing by. she's quite eloquent and expresses herself quite well, but in her dazed voice, most people just write her off as a ditz or an air head. they often overlook her perceptiveness as an outsider to most social situations. though she is a social butterfly in that she speaks to many people, she's not close to any one, making her somewhat of a black sheep. this does not stunt her empathy or ability to help another through understanding and care.

most of her disconnectedness socially comes from herself, however. she purposefully keeps people at a distance as a learned habit in response to how most people treat her (as the 'weird girl' or the 'girl obsessed with flowers and fairy tales'). this is actually because she is deeply insecure about herself. her codependent nature allows her to easily keep people at a distance with her in dream state, but once she trusts a person to be their friend, she opens up and can become quite attached. because she fears attachment and rejection as she was met with most of her life, she buries away within herself and her dreams. though she is friendly and kind, she keeps herself just far enough away from people so that she does not get hurt, subsequently getting hurt by this in the process.

however, to the people she gets close to, she shows bursts of energy when it comes to things she is passionate about- and she has a lot of passion within her when it comes to flowers and animals. this can be very overwhelming to those who do not expect it from her usual demeanour. she always has the best intentions, but can unconsciously push people away with how she acts. she can be a little selfish sometimes, but is usually very anxious over helping others first. she spends most of her time running around trying to fix other people and their problems so that she doesn't focus on herself, because when she does, she gets quite absorbed and overwhelmed with her problems. she is governed by an intense desire to help others, but also carrying an intense desire to be taken care of.

- her father is will (sunshine islands). she's never known her mother and is not sure whether she was a mistake, or if they divorced when she was too young to remember, or even if her mother might needed the child be kept a secret. she was raised spoiled senseless with attention and gifts. she's daddy's little girl and indulged in much fantasy fairytales that will would always tell her. (she also inherited her love of flowers from him)
- she was taught french as a part of being cultured.
- rumor is that will recently ran into some financial issues and could no longer support emmeline now that she has come of age. fearing she'd be spoiled and refuse to work or go out into the world due to her ability to fall back on her father's money, will sent her out to echo village to learn to be independent.

- her best friends are : neil (fellow animal lover), allen (her beloved colourist), yuri (she has a shopping addiction), michelle (MAGIC), witch princess (follows her around in attempts to learn how to be bad « Mr.Gourmet's hat » / they're both night owls) and soseki (fellow night owl)
- she is almost always around hina- she views hina like a little sister (one she never had as she was an only child + they look the exact same) and plays with her often. they look remarkably similar and she will sometimes eat dinner with hina, charles and camellia.
- tina and felicity both annoy her for unknown reasons to even herself. dunhill and klaus also creeps her out.
- refers to hana as her 'nana' even though they are in no way related.
- she has never been with any one before and thus is quite unsure of how relationships work. right now she is trying to figure out just how she feels. neil can be so sweet and she just wants to help him warm up and heal whatever hurt he has. and allen is just like a prince and treats her so kindly, always giving her attention. then there's soseki, who has this rugged charm and an incredible intelligence.

- she is a vegetarian which was always provided for her when she was growing up, but now she must grow her own crops organically. hence she has an extremely sensitive view on animal cruelty and eating meat or any seafood and will be very upset if any one mistreats an animal or eats meat/seafood in front of her. (she will only silently judge you as long as you're not eating it in front of her)
- as much as she loves her father, she is incredibly embarrassed about her last name and thus gets really flustered or upset if any one finds out about it
- she is NOT a morning person. she frequently wakes up late and stays up later way past midnight
- she calls every one 'sweets', however, once you start dating her, she calls you 'muppet'

you get to the peak and sit down to eat lunch. emmeline appears unphased but then says randomly, "maybe fairy tales are stupid." there is an uncomfortable silence. you don't know if you should pretend you didn't hear what she said and change the topic or try to cheer her up.

* option a. once upon a time…
- you decide to tell her a fairy tale you made up on the spot. she seems to appreciate that you heard what she said. she laughs and then says that whenever she was sad, her father or a maid would read her fairy tales and it would always make her feel hopeful. she thanks you for being so kind even if your story was kinda lame. she says that she will work harder. she hopes you enjoyed your dessert, but she has to go water her flowers. she promises more lunch dates in the future!

you are heading to emmeline's house for lunch. when you arrive, she's nowhere to be found! you notice there is a note on the table. she said she's going to visit yuri and buy some new clothes for the occasion. she says she wants to look pretty for your lunch date with her. so, you decide to go to the tailor to see her. when you arrive, yuri is busy working. she doesn't notice you at first, but then looks at you inquisitively. she says emmeline isn't here. you're surprised she knew you were looking for her and yuri explains that emmeline was anxious and upset to buy some new clothes but was so indecisive, she bought two outfits and just ran out! yuri mentions that emmeline was talking about how she needed to fix her hair.

you go to allen's only to see a distraught emmeline begging allen to dye her hair. the stylist absolutely refuses to dye her hair, explaining they dyed it too recently and her hair would be too damaged that he'd have to cut it all off. emmeline is close to sobbing. allen notices you and tells you to take your girlfriend home because he can't have some one crying in his salon. emmeline refuses to go saying she has to dye her hair and look her best! she can't go yet!

* option a. how about just getting a pretty up do?
- emmeline gets even more upset saying how just changing her hair style is not enough. she has to change herself. she needs to be prettier and so she has to dye her hair again. she's been blonde too often and for too long and she needs to change her hair colour now! she has to have a different hair colour!

• i. the pastel colours do suit you.
  - emmeline becomes silent, looking down at her feet. allen gets upset exclaiming that you should stop putting ideas in her hair because her hair is very fragile from all the dying she's been doing to it. he says that she should just stick to being blonde and treat it before she ever considers dying it again. emmeline starts crying again saying how ugly she is and how she definitely has to dye it now! she says how she'll try harder make herself prettier for you. she runs out in an upset state. allen sighs, happy that she's gone, but also says that you shouldn't add fuel to the flames. you have a feeling that your lunch date has been canceled.

  - emmeline becomes silent. she asks if you really mean that or if you're just trying to get her to leave. you sincerely say what you mean and she blushes. she says she never really thought she could be pretty on her own. she's been so obsessed with trying to look like a model or a princess. she's been so depressed about her appearance saying she feels too plain or ugly to be your girlfriend. but she realizes that you really do care for her and even though she still doesn't feel very pretty, hearing you say those words gave her some hope and confidence. you return to her house for lunch after she apologizes to allen.

- emmeline shakes her head. she doesn't look like a princess at all! her outfit isn't right, her hair isn't right. she points out her flaws before saying that if she were a princess, she'd be pretty enough to stand beside you. you try to say that she is, but she can't hear it. she apologizes to you saying that she appreciates what you said but she just can't believe that you mean it. she apologizes to allen before leaving. allen sighs, happy that she's gone, but then says how her crisis was more than just about her appearance and you should think before you speak. you have a feeling your lunch date is canceled.

Dreams for the Future: To have a giant chicken farm
Personality: She's a bit ditsy sometimes and is a complete pushover. She is also a bit lazy and doesn't like foraging because she gets tired quickly. She can be really good at something if she's interested in it, but otherwise it takes her a long time to get the hang of things. She likes to cook but is awful at it and seems to think making "grilled fish" 20+ times in one evening constitutes her being a good chef. Most people are too polite to tell her her cooking sucks, though. She gets patronized a lot, and it doesn't help she has a baby face and acts like a kid a lot of the time. She can be polite to the point of being annoying.
Other: Is best of friends with Iroha, visits her every morning for breakfast and always brings her materials like lumber. Iroha acts as a sort of big sister to her. She tries really hard to be friends with Neil, the meaner he is to her the more determined she is to be his friend. (He thinks she's a complete idiot so far). Also she talks like it's the 60's. ("I am so cross with you right now, ma'am!" "Well, I think you're one swell gal!", "Oh, lookit me I've gone all honeyglow in the cheeks...")
Family: Rick and Popuri's cousin (just because!)

I'm only in Summer year 1 so no custom clothes for me yet ^^ I dunno who I'm going to marry yet, because I only have one bachelor unlocked haha. I'm thinking Soseki because I like older guys xD or Sanjay cause he's a cutie pie.

I plan on making it so her hair grows out so it's long for two seasons (Fall Winter) and short for two seasons (Spring Summer).

Appearance: Naturally blonde, although she likes to dye her hair different colors depending on how she's feeling and try out different hair styles. She has light blue eyes and a slight tan from working outside every day. She likes to wear cute outfits that are comfortable but don't completely hide her figure. Her favorite outfit is the maid outfit, mostly because of Neil's reaction every time she wears it. ;D

"Fiery" - although she's not the classic fiery redhead, Sydney's got a sharp tongue and temper. She's witty, stubborn, and blunt, but she also has a great sense of humor and loves to laugh. She usually uses sarcasm to get her points across, but she never means to actually hurt a person's feelings with her brash attitude, unless you've gotten on her bad side. She respects every person's opinion, and will actually respect you more for voicing and standing by it, even if it goes against her own. She doesn't get mad easily, but when she does, you better watch out! She has the language of a sailor and the theatrics of a drama queen. Ruffle her feathers and you might just regret it. One look from her icy glare, and you'll want to curl up into a ball under a blanket. Luckily she cools off pretty quickly once she can get away from everything and think.
Other than her temper and stubbornness, Sydney's a pretty sweet person, especially when it comes to children. She can often be seen with Hina, either catching butterflies by the river or having tea parties on her farm. Her inner-child comes out to play whenever the little ones are around.

Sydney is wary of new comers at first, but if they're kind, she'll quickly warm up to them and be kind back. Neil, however, was a whole different case. His standoffish attitude immediately irked her, yet she was still drawn to him. (-coughHe'ssexycough-) When she found out he liked moondrops, she began her master plan 'Soften-up Mr. Grumpypants'. Everyday she'd visit him, quip back a witty response to whatever insult he came up with, and then give him the flower with a smile before walking off. It soon became her favorite part of the day, besides tending to her crops and animals. She always looked forward to whatever Neil would say, and would take any insults of his with a grain of salt. Because of her time with Neil, she has become more patient and understanding with people.

Even though Sydney is fiery and passionate about the things she loves, she appreciates silence and relaxation just as much as excitement and adventure. She jumped at the opportunity to get away from the drama of city life and take over her family's old farm. She feels it's a much more calming and suitable life for her, especially since all the cute boys seem to move to Echo Village! Rod's a sweetie, Allen is hilarious (and obnoxious), and Soseki is like her big brother, but the one guy Sydney really has her eye on is Neil, and not just because he's a fellow blonde! While their personalities clashed at first, he's been slowly revealing his soft side to her (Master plan is working! >8D), and she's absolutely loving every bit of him. She finally got up the nerves to confess to Neil, and they're now a happy couple. She just hopes he'll continue to open up, and maybe confess to her when they get more serious.

Besides the guys in the village and her farm taking up most of her time, she's also got a few best girlfriends. Sydney's love of food has created a close bond with Felicity, and Iroha's calm nature is a breath of fresh air after a hard day's work or argument. Yuri's so quiet and sweet, and Sydney has vowed to make her more confident and outgoing, while Tina is just simply fun to hang out with.
