Hello Ushians, I have made a list (which is weird, I'm not normally so organized XD) to help me figure out how much of what I need to unlock Tropical and Ice country.

I would like to share it with you :3 Pink equals the quickest vegetable to grow AND regrow

PS. if you're seedling, I only listed the numbers for you, its probably best to read the veteran requirement too to see the notes I made : )

For Tropical (veterans):
*100 tools- 100 weeds or twigs and turn into fertilizer (animal medicine costs 500g and fertilizer costs 20g, both at Otmars, if you don't want to waste weeds or twigs)
*500 seeds- 3x4 field of grass, 108 fodder/day, turn into grass seeds, takes 5 days
*15,000 vesture- 3x4 field of grass during all seasons + seasonal vegetable (cucumber or strawberry in spring, tomato or corn or pineapple in summer, sweet potatoes in fall, broccoli in winter **you could do radish or turnip, just not regrowable**)[you could just grow grass, that is the easiest route, use all your farm land for grass]
*15,000 cooked- one vegetable recipes are turnip salad, radish salad, tomato juice, sweet potato salad, simmered potato and lots more. one produce recipes are egg soup/milk soup. (It's good to always have some sweet potatoes growing, they regrow in 1-2 days, and the simmered potato recipe is bought at Sakura for 1500g)
*10,000 processed goods- at this point, probably a good idea to make a second 3x4 grass field, which gives you *216 fodder/day, turn into dried fodder BUT DO NOT turn into seeds, takes aprox 1 season and a half. (feel free to plant more fodder, I am making a 5x5 in addition to my 3x4, should be done in 30 days with goods)[pottery and flax/cotton cloth work as well, though I find dried grass is quicker to make]
*600 clothes- you can either go the cotton route (cowboy style outfit) or the wool route (girl overalls). either way, you need 1,800 cotton or wool. (3x4 field of cotton, 72 cotton/harvest)(you can also buy yarn from vendors for 2000g each, but thats a bit pricey)

For Ice (veteran):
*100 fences- 6 small lumber with the wooden fence, total 600 lumber
*200 decorations- beacon with 3 lumber, for a total of 600 lumber OR hay bale with 10 fodder (with a 4x3 grass field, takes 15 days)
*200 garden objects- 14 small lumber, for a total of 2,800 small lumber OR hedges (4 twigs/6 weeds/4 solid soil) OR shrubs (6 branches/12 weeds)[i suggest mixing it up, not all one object]
*100 streets- 3 small stone for paving stone (total 300 small stone) 5 stone for stone slab, 5 rock for eastern paving stone
*100 furniture- chest for 6 lumber (buy BP from Silk for 2000g) total of 600 lumber
*100 wallpaper/flooring- plain flooring is 13 small lumber, total of 1,300 small lumber

For Tropical (seedling):
*70 tools- 70 weeds or twigs (check veteran for more options)
*350 seeds- 3x4 field of grass, turn into seeds, takes 4 days
*10,500 vesture- look at veteran requirements
*10,500 cooked- look at veteran requirements
*7,000 processed good- make a second 3x4 grass field, total of 216/day, turn into dried grass, takes approx. 1 season
*420 clothes- look at veteran requirements for different clothing options, will take 1,260 wool or cotton (3x4 cotton field, 72 cotton/harvest)

For Ice (seedling):
*70 fences- 6 s. lumber w/ wooden fence, total of 420 s. lumber
*140 decorations- 3 lumber for beacon, total of 420 s. Lumber
*70 streets- 3 small stone for paving stones/5 stone for stone slab/5 rock for eastern paving stone
*70 furniture- chest for 6 lumber (buy BP at Silk for 2000g), total of 420 lumber
*70 wallpaper/flooring- plain flooring is 13 small lumber, total of 910

if you guys have any suggestions or want to share what you did to unlock, feel free :)

I use Animal Medicine for Tools instead of fertilizer since that's way too precious.

Did you buy it? Or is there a way to make it at home?

There's no way to make it. And they don't cost that much.
Since completing the vesture, cooking, and clothing takes really long, I just visit Otmar everyday and buy Animal Medicine along with the fertilizer.

You'll eventually complete the 100 tools long before you complete the other 3 and you get to save your fertilizers for something more important.

I guess I never valued fertilizer. My crops all got raised via MP, I played so much they got a lot of wanding.

I'll definitely put animal medicine on the list

I finished my tool requirement looong ago

Yeah, Animal Medicine is good for people that are starting out or don't use MP that much.

I don't think the crops should be wasted on the vesture requirement though. The crops should all be cooked. And if you only care about unlocking the country, plant grass on all possible plots, and grow sweet potatoes in greenhouses. I realized this when cooking took so long lol Vestures can be done in no time since grass grow everyday. Processed goods can be done quick if you're always growing flax and making pottery. Also just buy the processed goods from the vendors and resell them back.

Growing grass on all possible spots seems the best route, but I like growing more vegetables so that I can get more money and so that I have items for cooked. I haven't unlocked greenhouses yet so I have to grow specific veggies so I can make my cooked dishes.

Also, I do make flax, but after completing the vesture, I'll have all my grass fields still available to make dried grass with, so I think it might be easier

I will definitely add in your thoughts though :3 thanks for the suggestions

EDIT: the vegetables I suggest for vesture I grow on rented land, my farm land is completely covered in grass fields, cotton for clothes (in addition to my tall crop field), and trees for Ice requirements. I'm adding more grass fields once I clear space

This is a really helpful breakdown! I'll keep this list with me next time I play so I can better plan out how to tackle each requirement. I'm only in Summer Year 1 but I do want to get a jumpstart on the easier stuff to ship. Thanks so much! :lala:

Thank you so much for this, Olivia!! It's super helpful to see it wrote out like this.
Ugh. Now my lazy butt has no excuse not to pull myself together, follow your advice, and unlock Tropical. Seriously, I'll be proud just to unlock Tropical.

I have been working on it for a while, just don't get to play as much as I wish.

Thank you, Livi! It doesn't seem so impossible now!

Might I suggest growing sweet potatoes in two or more greenhouses? They regrow fast, and you only need the sweet potato for baked sweet potato (I think it's called) for cooking if it's out of season or if you don't have the root crop field.
