Hello guys, I want to share my experience when I compete with Mr.D in expert level Harvest festival in Fall in the first year to complete the third farming tips.
In that event (it called true battle in the scene when we talking with Mr.D before competition), I always lose even though I bring 4 star crops. I tried to reload several times, but the result always the same.
Is it unwinable for the first time we compete eith Mr.D in expert level competition?
Can anyone give their experience on this problem?
Thanks

I only tried it once and won right away (on expert.) I entered a 4.5 star piece of wheat. One of the categories being judged on was N/A with wheat, so it didn't count, which means I didn't have to fertilize for that trait at all. I had 100% on two of the traits and 89% on the third trait and I won, so I guess that was good enough.

Thanks for the info, it seems I need to submit better crops.

I recommend either a regrowing crop like tomatoes, or better, wheat, as it has one entire category eliminated so you'll need 25% less fertilizer (and time) to get it to maxiumum quality. (Plus have WAY more time to do it in as it can grow all year.) Flowers are also easier to raise to maximum as they have no 'size' quality, but not very effective until you get the seed maker.

FWIW, some of the categories are kinda wonky; I had maxed out cotton (only one stat!), and lost. Mr. D entered flax. Maxed flax might have won, however.

I think the less stats a crop or critter has, the higher you might need to be with each stat. I ended up winning the Expert with a bunny I didn't think had ANY chance of winning, and got to the end credits at least a full season before I expected to LOL.

I beat him in the animal one personally.
And it counted for the Farm Tips requirement.

C rank coat and byproduct and max byproduct #. I think? Was at 20?

The crop stuff in festivals just confuses me because I can get some NICE ones going and get nowhere even trying to match to theme and... yeah IDEK guys..
