Hello Everyone,
I'm just asking about what other people think of the games, it should be pretty simple questions in the poll. (This also includes the other 3ds games as well) you can talk about them too.

EDIT in the Poll:
Not Having Enough G
Change to now: The Long (can't skip) Tutorials!

I don't think you have to worry about anyone interpreting this as you asking how to play your game...I don't see any possible way to interpret this topic like that. :)

I put in 'the littering penalty' and 'passing out' as those are two I do actively worry about while playing. It didn't really matter in Trio, but in SoS1, it was very easy for things to end up in the river when you were tending animals in the Safari area. And in all bokumono games, in the beginning, you have to work your MC to the bone...down to that last sliver of stamina...and it's pretty easy to end up passing out without even realizing you were going to because you're just so busy doing stuff.

Not that either of them are peeves, and I don't really *hate* them...I don't have strong feelings about any of that list. But I like those two the least.

There really isn't any particular one I don't enjoy as much in all the games. It just depends on the game itself.

I've voted the Gifting because, it's takes forever to search for each villagers and candidates likes, loves, and favorites guess that why I prefer Skytree Village but the others are really fun to play. My second vote went to the penalty if I wanted to toss something out I loss all that hard work and that not cool at all.

Skytree Village, is perfect for me because I don't have to worry about gifts at all it just take too much time especially if I have too many crops and animals to take care of and I really love that game.

Lol...I've never had to search for anyone's gift, I just look it up online and there's everyone's favourite, loved and liked gifts, usually on FOGU, but sometimes elsewhere, too. So I don't really mind gifting :)

I just said the littering penalty - for me the things that feel a little...janky are the only things that frustrate me in these games. (It's a similar frustration to a poorly placed hit box.) Littering only counts for me in the games where you could accidentally litter fairly easily, though.

I don't really like that there's no distinguishing biodegradable from not either... I know you don't want a weed in the town square, but would you rather that or a piece of my fishing junk?

@ Kikki,
True while we have Fogu help with the gifts I like to keep a notebook with me (gifts and all the other info) in case I ain't home to look it up "like if I triggered an event with the person I want to marry". I already know what answer to say.

@ Shan O 123
Make sense, I like having spending money as well does help especially if you need to grow crops and stuff in the first month. (those dang Yams!)

@ Mikodesu
It's frustrates me too, having a penalty especially if it was just accidental throw in the rive like Kikki said. Fish junk, I would rather have the weed instead.

I personally dislike the marriage requirements the most. Guessing when, where, and what's needed to activate a love interest's heart events is difficult, especially if you need to have a certain item in your bag to start the event, and the game itself gives you no hints about the heart events. Even if you do look up the location, time, and requirements for a character's heart event, sometimes the event won't trigger. In that case, you have to try activating the heart event until the game allows you experience it. You can't marry unless you see all of the ones associated with your character of choice, so it's not as if you can skip the one that is particularly hard for you to trigger (or one you particularly dislike) for one reason or another.

^I'm with PaleSunflower. While I do like looking things up on game guides, I don't want to feel like I have to look up guides to play (yes I'm weird like that). Or that the moon has to be in the right place and phase for something to trigger.

All the other voting options are just a matter of time and they will resolve themselves. Whether it be upgraded tools, a cash crop, power berries... Except for littering, I never had too much trouble with it though. Maybe once or twice, but not enough to be considered a hate.

Animals dying of old age never bothered me either. They lived a long life and were cared for. If it was a sickness/mistreatment then that's on me. In which case I would feel guilty for abusing my virtual cows. :(

What I hate the most about most harvest moon games is that it's too easy to make money and the game loses its value long term. I also think customization of your farm has taken a step backwards. This is for SoS technically. Hm as it is currently under Natsume as developer... I hate how they made farming so...Horrible. It's better to go mining or fishing to make money, it's really sad for a farming game. I want a farming sim to have farming be a bigger deal. -.-

I just got ToTT yesterday, and I loathe the introductions. They are so long, and unnecessary. I just wish we could have the option to skip them over.

That might be a one for the list, Harvest Moon Kid...the start-up tutorials! I know a decent portion of people hate them passionately. Or at least, the fact that you cannot opt to skip them, even in your second, third, or like me, sixth playthrough. Still mandatory!

I don't mind tutorials, and Trio did let you skip the tool sort altogether...caring for crops and animals and so on did not subject us to mandatory tutorials. (Though the price was never being able to speak to Frank in the morning if you didn't want to deal with him asking you if you wanted farming lessons.) But we did have to go through the 'walk through town and talk to everyone' and so on. I'd like the ability to opt out of any warm-up tutorial period at all. ESPECIALLY when it's not even my first playthrough.

Really, I feel like all they need to do is put a backup warning on a 'skip tutorial' button, where it asks 'are you SURE you want to skip the tutorial??' after you select it...and if you say say 'Yes, I'm sure! Skip it!', it is forever dismissed. I mean, tutorial information is often saved on the bookshelf anyway if you want to access it.

I never really mind them the first time through, even though I don't need them. But the sixth time... Sooo sick of it. But I do think they should be optional right from the start.

Actually I think trio handled this very well? There were times that I’d trigger something on accident.

In SoS however.......the 30 favorite gift thing for a reversed marriage proposal needs to go.

I can most definitely, agree to that Shan the 30 or more gifts for a reversed proposal is a bit much.
