I wanted a shiny Eevee but after all I went through to get my shiny Vulpix I decided to give myself a long break from it XD If I do ever get one then I'm going to evolve it into GlaceonBeedlebud wrote:Hatched a Shiny Eevee a few months ago in Pokemon X. Evolved it into a Shiny Umbreon. That's only shiny I've ever gotten in all my years with the series.

Hoo boy, where do I start? I have a strange bit of luck when it comes to finding shinys, but almost every one of them has been one I'll never use.
The first was back in Gen III with a shiny Safari Zone Psyduck, but I forgot about it and erased that game. When Gen IV rolled around, I caught a shiny Kricketune in a Diamond re-run, and later a shiny Raticate while RNGing something else entirely.
Fast forward to HG/SS, where I caught my first quasi-useful shiny, a female Nidoran. I say quasi-useful, because of the wonderful oddity of Nidorina/Nidoqueen being sterile. Later on, I caught a shiny Luvdisc while heart scale farming in the same game. Nothing else popped up until B2, when I was filling out the habitat list and a shiny Audino decided it wanted to keep up the tradition. And just a few weeks after initially beating Y, the torch was passed to Gen VI with a shiny Tauros. However, thanks to Wonder Trade, that Tauros was sent off to a new home shortly after I acquired him.
Of course, I'm not counting all the shinys I've pulled up thanks to Chain Fishing, or the ones I've bred through RNGing.

I've actually caught quite a few. In my Pearl, which is where my pre-gen 5 shines are, I've got a Crobat, Primeape, Venonat, Raticate and Linoone. In XY I've found a shiny Skiddo, Octillery & Gyarados. I almost got a Gabite in a safari, but when I false-swiped it it did take down and killed itself .

My very first shiny was a Wurple I caught in Sapphire, which later evolved into a Dustox. I later caught a shiny Poochyena in Emerald on the same route where I found the Wurple. :D I've also gotten a shiny Pichu in Crystal, a shiny Safari Zone Goldeen in FireRed, a shiny Yanma from a horde in Y, and I recently got a shiny Totodile from a trade with a friend.
