-Two voice actors for each gender.
-You select your voice actor at the beginning of the game
You can't pick a male voice when playing a female character

Does this mean you can pick a female voice when playing a male character?

I'm so excited! Hawke and the Warden will make an actual appearance? I'm not sure how they could pull that off but I guess we'll see. I'd be satisfied with another character mentioning them. The companions seem great so far, Vivienne <3 can't wait to see the rest.

I'm interested to hear the voices, I'd love one with a Welsh accent for the Elves but I'm not expecting it since there's 3 other races to cover. Glad there's 2 for each gender though!

I do wonder to what extent people will be able to mod the game despite the lack of support, it at all.

I'm excited to learn more about Vivienne. I've been really interested in her since that trailer they released awhile back. aND SOLAS SOUNDS SO COOL I'M CROSSING MY FINGERS AND PRAYING HE'S A ROMANCE OPTION

and the ability to jump??? thats perfect now my inquisitor can jump through the plains while their companions follow behind rolling their eyes ah yes.

Gosh I'm soooo excited. I hope they say more at e3 this year.

I actually find the grey warden dude and Varric's new design hot as hell. XD Not all companions have been revealed, so maybe you still have a chance to see someone that appeals to you.

Or maybe romance someone that's hot on the inside?

We...have a lot of male party members . I'm going with my gut and thinking there's still a great deal of other party members who have yet to be revealed. At least, that's what I'm hoping; it'd be strange to have a lack of balance between the male and female party numbers.

Vivienne sounds like she's going to think I'm a little insane in my tastes . Even when I was friends with Leliana, I made no illusions about my flat 'what' reaction I had to Orlais' fashion taste and the importance it had (even though it sounded like a beautiful place). I'm going to have a lot of fun being a snarky Qunari who pokes fun of her love for fashion and tag-teams with Varric in sarcastic moments .

So far we have confirmation for companions:

Grey Warden dude

So, 7 out of 9 (they confirmed 9 companions awhile ago) so I'm expecting there to be one more female and one more male, 5 males/4 females wouldn't really be all that bad of a balance, but we'll see.

I can understand people who are upset over the lack of "handsome" men, and while I totally understand that's a taste thing, I'm pretty pumped over the people we have so far myself. Considering the last two games we've pretty much ONLY had handsome men, I'm actually kind of stoked that there's a lack of "traditionally" good looking dudes so far?

I still want Cullen to snag a spot, and while some people think he's attractive, I don't really myself. I like his character because he's flawed, and I want someone around who has a Templar point of view. It's kind of like Alistair, I think he's incredibly bland and boring looking, but he drew me in with his personality. But yeah, I think Varric/Solas/IB/Grey Warden are actually pretty hot in their own way and I'm pretty excited for them all. Then again, I'm a GIGANTICCCCCC Garrus fangirl so my tastes might be pretty out there

But yeah, they are already ramping up stuff for E3 (they have a lot to show there apparently) I CAN'T WAIT

Also--count me in on the Solas hype train for LI, choooo chooooo!

I'm satisfied with what we have so far as well, personally I've never thought of any Dragon Age companion as super good looking or anything, though the DA2 crew was pretty overall. I get people being disappointed that there's no one that they'd like to romance but tbh it kinds of bother me that they introduce these characters and the immediate response is "she's so ugly, fix her so I can romance her" or "ew he's BALD". But everyone plays for their own reasons of course, hopefully those that aren't satisfied with the companions grow to like them after playing~

Anyway, I wonder if the last two companions will be returning characters (including Cullen) or totally new. I can't wait to see what they reveal at e3 slkjwlih it feels so far awaaay

Preaaaach. I'm not a huge Jack fan in ME2, but the amount of « Baaaa *glomp* » that was done because people didn't like her baldness was ridiculous. It's definitely okay if it's not your cup of tea, but when you want a character actually CHANGED because they don't fit your standard of beauty it's just infuriating.

I can't believe E3 is only a few months away though! Not very long at all though I wish it was sooner, I want more infooooo.

There should be a little more news today (or just reaffirmation of the magazine leak) plus a little more on Vivienne. I'll post more if there's anything worthwhile to note!

I have to admit I'm still butt-hurt about DA2 so I'm just casually watching DA:I. It won't be until the game is out and player reviews are in that I'll consider buying it. I will say though, that so far it 'looks' like they are making some good choices.

I may be in the minority, but I hope Iron Bull is a romance option. He's kind of hot for a Qunari! If I can't have Varric, give me Iron Bull! (Keep in mind neither have been confirmed or denied for LIs).

So far it still looks like I'm making a female Saarebas (Qunari Mage) as my Inquisitor.
