Hello and welcome to the unofficial masterpost for farming simulation games. As this is a forum dedicated to Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons (and Rune Factory), many people come to this board looking for more farming goodness to scratch the itch until the next entry arrives. This list is meant to compile all farming simulation games similar or inspired by HM/SoS/RF and I'll try to list everything that is currently out (and in development). Feel free to post anything I missed that you feel fits and I'll edit accordingly (the same goes for anything I've labeled incorrectly).
Any game with an asterisk (*) in front of their name is currently in early access.
Please note: I have not included games that are low effort (ie: Our Love Will Grow) or abandoned by their developers (ie: Wild Season). Again, if I've missed a game or mislabeled something, please let me know. Happy farming.
P.S. If an upcoming game has gone a year without any update, it will be considered abandoned and deleted from this list. Please double check the dates of the last update before posting it here to be added.

This is a great idea! :D Everyone always mentions these types of games but it's hard to go back and dig for them so it's nice to have them all in one place.
...although I think World's Dawn, Verdant Skies, and Fantasy Farming are more than just farming since all of those include social/relationship elements. Maybe change the categories to Just Farming, Farming+Social, and maaaybe Farming+RPG although I feel like there's a lot of overlap between those last two so it might be better to combine them.
How about Kynseed? It looks pretty nice...and this is coming from someone who hates pixel art. (As pixel art goes, I'd say this is about as good as it gets.) It's entering Early Access in "Early 2018", so it must be quite soon. There's not much time left if it's still going to be considered 'early' in the year. Their Kickstarter page actually has more info than Steam at this point, though.
Also, @Kikki, thanks for pointing that game out; it looks so cool!
No problem I remembered it because it's not often that I think pixel art is anything but a blobby mess of ugly, but I love the way they do wildflowers. (They look like fields of lupins, to me.) From their updates they seem to be on track to enter early access quite soon. I'll be interested to see the feedback they get then.
Re: Legend is only coming out this summer for backers, and it seems behind their original projections. They most recently said that they'll be sending out alpha keys soon, so it doesn't seem like it's very close to complete if they're only just approaching alpha. But at least things are still happening (they recently partnered with 505 games) so at least it's not dead in the water. If you'd like to see it, their most recent update with any substance is just a few weeks ago.
So it's sort of out this summer...maybe. For a few people.
And yeah, the devs of Re:Legend pretty much admitted that the game won't be out for everyone until next year. As far as we know, no early access or anything, but if that changes then i'll fix it.
Edit: Also added the Shepherd's Crossing duology because I remembered they exist. The first game has some turn based combat, but as it's mostly about farming, it can stay where it is. Once Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin releases (and if this thread is still around) I might make another section for just 'fighting and farming' as they both don't seem to have any social aspects.
Oh. Thanks for the clarification. I'm a backer, but I rarely look at the updates. Guess I'll be waiting for my Switch copy next year. Good thing too; too many games coming out this summer for me.
I looked at everything on the list; Ooblets is the only other thing that catches my interest aside from any other games I was aware of and/or already own. Maybe Yonder when it comes to the Switch.
Thanks for this list! I reached out to Cher to see if we could sticky this. Edit: Stickied!
"Games that have farming in them, but are not the main focus/more of a side thing" I would actually also be very interested in seeing this filled out too if you have the time! I'm assuming Little Dragon's Cafe and Popolocrois: SoS would both fall under this category. Mineko's Night Market you can plant and grow cats, so probably that one as well!

Woah, thanks for the sticky you guys! What I could probably do is have a section for game that have farming as a side thing / farming games that play vastly different than the list above. The games I currently have listed all have the 'HM' Formula in them more or less, and that's usually what people are looking for. The 'Farm Sim' genre has expanded past this insomuch there's so many titles, some vastly different, some low effort cash grabs.
I'll go through everything that I can and allocate them to a section, but probably keep them in a spoiler keep them seperate, but still there for people to find.
I went through the list on Reddit and for the ones not yet listed, I have found the following:
Spoiler:
Farm Folks - Seems to be dead, last update was in May of 2017
Rite of Life - Needs a lot of polish and no release date in sight.
Lullaby Gardens - Successful Kickstarter, but dead.
Homestead - Also dead, last update in June of 2017
Sunville - Hard to find anything on this game besides gifs on the creators(?) Twitter, so no for now.
Memory Trees: Forget Me Not - As far as I can find, no farming has been implemented into this game yet, so another no.
Valley of the Crescent Mountain - I might add this, but it's hard to find info besides the sporadic YT video on the dev's channel.
Farmorea - Holy reskinned Stardew Valley, batman. Low Effort.
Harvest Hands - Alive and kicking, will add.
Pumpkin Online - Alive and kicking, will add.
Seeds of Magic - Dead and abandoned, dev is working on something completely different.
Thru the Trees - Can't find anything but screenshots for this game.
Bountiful Life - Hardly any info, assuming dead.
Evercove - Dev is active, but there's not much to show besides static screens.
Harvest Crossing - I can't find anything solid on this game.
Overall, most of the titles are vapourware or don't have enough info out. These are either in development hell, being actively worked on, or abandoned. Only going to add Harvest Hands and Pumpkin Online for now.
