Get an amiibo card of a villager you like and kick them out as the most reliable method.

Otherwise it is up to random chance whether they will ask to leave or not (or random if you can kick them with a campsite villager). Having a single alt that I play daily has tripled the amount of annoyance of "villagers asking to move out" in my case, so you might want to try that.

It's probably just volume of trees but I've had a LOT better luck picking up acorns/pine cones from island hopping than on my island. About an hour for 9 of each. (Getting one on the second shake of a tree is so much more exciting than it should be.)

It's a good use of time while replacement villager hunting anyway. My next thing is probably balloon camping. Not sure how well it'll go but I figure if I leave the sound up on the TV I can clean while I wait.

Balloon camping is more worth it to me if I make my clock December. I want the Christmas stuff now lol

Well, finally got all the maple leaf DIYs and I've got half of the mushroom DIYs. Can't wait for December so I can get the golden fishing rod and golden net.

I really completely lost my desire to play. I want those DIYs, but if my mood to play ACNH returns, I'll just TT back and play these days over again until I get all the recipes I want. I don't think I can play the 'normal' way of one day at a time without TTing, any more, so I'm throwing all of that to the wind to play sporadically, however I want. Just gotta wait until the mood comes back.

Winter is always the trickiest season in AC. I love the snow, and the trees during December, but there’s so few bugs and fish in winter.

I was going around islands looking for villagers to get KK to appear. I came across my girl Olivia. I always loved her in the GameCube game. I approached her and was instantly taken aback by how nice she was. The snooty villagers really aren’t snooty anymore. It’s bizarre to have Olivia praise me, especially when we just met.

I'm looking for anyone who might time travel into summer? I don't time travel, but I missed some fish/bugs/seafood from July/August/September. :( Mostly night beetles on bugs... Ugh

I can later if you want. Though rn I don’t have any rivers or ponds due to literally redoing everything. Just add me to your switch and we can talk. Either here or discord.

Just a reminder to me that I stopped playing completely on the 19th. So if the mood strikes me to play again, I want to TT back to November 20th and pick up from there. For now, I feel great, not playing, lol. It had become too much like a chore. When/if I go back to it, I'm going to totally ignore the villagers. Socializing in ACNH has always been chore-like to me. They occasionally have interesting conversations with each other, but they never say anything interesting when *I* talk to them, and since they will never move out without your endorsement, I can keep all the villagers I have as ambulatory decorations that I just admire for their cuteness, without having to worry about upkeep.

Is there a way to give villagers presents while still keeping their home in the default design? I hate when they put items I give them around the house.

I don’t think so. Though I don’t mind them doing that. It shows that they’re using your gift.

Olivis moved in a day ago and is already asking to move out. Nice.

It’s Turkey Day today. I always liked that holiday. It’s more fun than Halloween in AC.
