Hello. I recently upgraded to the new 3ds xl and I just got Pokemon AS today so I would like to eventually trade and battle. I`m not sure how to contact the friends I have on my old 3ds to let them know of the new FC. I can`t remember the names here vs the names on the friend list. Anyway my new FC is:

Hey QualityReviewer, assuming you still have your old 3DS, and you have an internet connection, you can transfer your old 3DS' data (including your friendcode, existing friends, save data, streetpass stuff) to your New 3DS. This may (will?) overwrite any save data you have created on the New 3DS since you bought it though, so that might be a deal breaker for you.

I'll add your new FC to the list and leave your old FC there too, for the time being. Let me know if you want either removing.

Thank you WorMzy. I don`t have a trustworthy wifi spot that could withstand 2-4 hours of system transfer so I will just keep it new. I only had a few digital games on the old 3ds. My only concerns are wondering if there are any issues with playing my Pokemon X on the new system and partial transfers so I can transfer my photos. (I understand I`d have to redownload the update and lose any streetpass data). So far I`m loving being able to trade without the internet. :-D

Do keep the old FC up for awhile so I can try to find the friends and ask if they would like to add me to the new one.

But officially my new FC will be most likely used for future games.

Hello fellow Ushians, I've recently cleared space by removing people who have never ever shown they are playing any games or anything active in the past days or hours in the past half year or more.
