Thanks! Your reply made me decide! I'm going to get the game as soon as possible when it becomes available in my country!Emurii wrote:As a lawyer, this is a pretty standard clause. Arbitration clauses don't "strip you of your rights," they just force you to resolve conflicts through arbitration (mediation with an impartial third party to come to a mutually agreeable conclusion) rather than suing directly in court. And honestly, I don't know what they're saying about "have the resources" to come before an arbiter, they seem to be anticipating that this could rule out a class action? Going to court is also insanely expensive. This article is pretty irresponsibly written, and I'm surprised that anyone would bother reporting on this -- it's more PoGo sensationalism, I guess. Here's an article about the kinds of things you agree to all the time without reading them.venus14! wrote:It will be arriving in my country soon according to the TV and Radio Stations i would love to get it for my Tablet but... does picking a certain team do anything to the pokemon you catch in particular? might just be a coincidence, but my friend and I are level 7 and level 8 respectively on the game. She's Team Valor and I'm Team Instinct. However, when we both go to catch the same pokemon, it'll spawn for me as CP 15 or so and she gets it at CP 205. So since Valor is supposedly more focused on strength, does that mean they can catch higher level pokemon, and since Instinct was about egg hatching, I hatch higher level pokemon? And i suppose for Mystic they might evolve to a really high level? Has anyone noticed or was I just overthinking it, lol?
afaik team doesn't affect the CP. Almost everyone I know is in valor including me and sometimes I get CP 10 while they get like CP 200, so I think it's random. I'm actually pretty curious about what determines CP.PeachyKeen wrote:does picking a certain team do anything to the pokemon you catch in particular? might just be a coincidence, but my friend and I are level 7 and level 8 respectively on the game. The great thing about pokemon go imo is that it's getting all of my friends to play it with me. I'm usually the "geek" of the friend group so I really like having people to freak out about pokemon with. And also it's turned me into the active one and all my friends are confused XD.

As for now, team does not affect anything except of the team leader and the legendary bird mascot. It might affect which legendary birds you can get in future update, but so far it's only speculation.
Your character level influenced CP. From Level 20 onwards, Pokemon with high CP can be encountered. Unfortunately, they are also waaaay harder to catch and it's kinda infuriating.

I'm really enjoying this game! I chose team mystic because my sister and friend were on it but I really want to be on team instinct. :/ I haven't battled any gyms yet because none of my pokemon are powerful enough. I'm only level ten.
Pro tip: if you live in a city go downtown. There are likely going to be tons of pokestops and a bunch of people there who are probably going to be using lures. You'll have gotten plenty of pokeballs and razzberries from the pokestops and some nice pokemon will be attracted to the lures.

I haven't been playing as much as I was in July, since I was interning in the city then, but have been playing when I can still. The nice thing is my boyfriend is moving out, and his apartment has two pokéstops within reach, so we can spam them while hanging out there together. Plus, I think there is a spawn point nearby, and there are lure mods at at least one of the stops pretty often, so we can catch quite a few pokémon there, too.
