Can’t find the Cursed Tools…

I simply cannot find the cursed hoe. I have been trying to find it for IRL hours. I have been reloading multiple saves and I just cannot seem to get it.
I am on Year 1, all my tools are fully upgraded, I have the biggest rucksack and I have multiple open spaces in my inventory.
I did this easily in the FoMT remake, but in the old game I just seem to have the worst luck… Maybe I’m missing something? I need more details in how to find that dang thing, please.
Any advice, maybe I’m missing something…?

Wow, that is bad luck! I'm not sure outside of luck, since you said you had space and mithril tools and are checking the correct floor. I don't know if I ever tried finding them in year 1 myself or not. I don't know if the year has anything to do with it or not. Hopefully your luck will change soon.

I keep reloading floor 38 to go to 39. (I am playing the Wii U port, so I have a third save state at my disposal. It that changes anything.) I haven’t gotten any of the other cursed tools, the the fishing rod, because I want to get the hoe first to help with digging for the others.
I don’t have a lot of energy left so sometimes I use the save state to just reload floor 39 to try uncovering different areas of the room to find it. I have been at this almost all day and I still can’t find it…
I have THE worst luck with this game. Am I just not able to do it in year one? Am I just wasting my time?

I also tried finding the kappa stone on floor 40, just to change thing up a bit, and still nothing. I think the game hates me. Dx

Thanks. I FINALLY got it, I was loosing my mind. (I also need the Kappa stone on the next floor before I leave, so that’s gonna be fun.)
Now that I know I able to get them I just have to come better prepared with better food to get the other ones.

i totally understand how you felt as it was the hardest part of the game for me too untill then )
unlike finding the ladders, finding cursed tools is all about luck... i remember the power berry or the kappa jewel shard (not sure which one) on floor 1 was the same for me too... tried so hard to get it
