Green Wonderfuls and mining

I've recently tried to improve my runs through mines for the sake of trying to gather some of the curry/natto recipes. When I entered the mine at 8:30pm, I was able to successfully use my hoe tool with 3x Green Wonderfuls to till the dirt to find stairs. I descended almost 50 floors no issue, and then saved my game on the 50th floor in case there was a hole while I was mining orihalc.

Since I have never found a lithograph, I tried tilling the dirt on floor 50, only to notice for some reason my hoe was taking 1-3 stamina per swing again suddenly. Which is to say I lost 0 stamina in 50 floors, and then all of a sudden almost 80% of my stamina tilling *on* floor 50.

The weather has not changed since entering the mine, I have tried both charged and uncharged till swing, reloading the game, etc.

Why would the Green (stamina) wonderfuls suddenly stop working on this floor?

You noted you started mining at 8:30 pm at night. There is a stamina penalty if you're still working after 10:00 pm, according to one of my JP strategy guides.

- from 10pm to midnight: -1 stamina
- from midnight to 6am: -2 stamina

Another idea, is if you rolled past midnight, perhaps the weather may have changed behind-the-scenes to be rainy/snowy, but you still see sunny weather.

You aren't the first to experience the green wonderfuls appearing to stop functioning while in the mine.
