I'm replaying Save the Homeland for the 50th time and I'm curious what other people have named their farm, farmer, and animals.
My farmer's name is Farmer, my farm's name is Farm, my dog is named Dog, my chickens are Hicken, Cicken, Chcken, Chiken & Chicen (the twins), and Chickn, my cows are Cw, Cow, Coow, Cooow, and Coooow, and then there's my horse... Fcorse (Of Course).

That's... one way to do it
I usually just name any given game's main character after myself, at least if the character is male. If I need to name MULTIPLE characters, then, well... this has never come up in a farming game, but I have at times been known to field a team of characters named Milo, Miilo, Miiilo, and Mivlo.
For livestock in a farming game, I usually go with either pop culture references, such as Disney characters of the matching species (bonus: if Clarabelle is too long to fit in the name entry screen, I can split it up and have names for two cows!), or lame puns (such as a cow named Daria because she provides dairy, gettit?). I have on at least one occasion given up and resorted to names like Cow0, Cow1, Cow2, etc. when I ran out of ideas and wanted to try maxing out my barn capacity, but I usually won't let it get that far, instead taking running out of name ideas as a sign that I have enough animals and should just stop adding more. I'm not running a factory farm, and one or two of each type is usually enough to make a healthy income, and definitely enough to unlock the relevant items on my "items shipped" list and have enough to hand out as gifts.

I tend to name at least one cow Betsy or Bessy. The other animals get a random assortment of Milky, Sheepy, Doggy, Katty, Eggy, Yolky, Chicky. Usually something that ends with a Y. If I run out of names I go another route. KFC, Mutton, Veal, etc.

Normally, I go with this naming schedule:
Chickens:
Linda, Betty, Janet, Cindy, Susie, Kate (kudos if you've played Alex Kidd in High-Tech World!)
Ducks:
Donald and Daisy (how original!)
Cows: Usually I use Greek mythology (Hera, Athena, Aphrodit (eight letter max), etc.)
Sheep: Robert
However, this time I went with:
Chickens: Rose, Lily, Violet, Aster (I need two more flower names to get to eight)
Ducks: Joseph and Joan
Cows: Willow (first cow), Pecan (planning to buy a star cow), and Peach (a hybrid)
The wife is Cecilia, and our son is named Don (I am working him toward Farming.)
