I see. Thanks all! :DCrazy DAC wrote:Another reason to call him Luft because the office site in the past have that name on the link to hero page.
But seem like they changed the link.

I've been wanting to know how as well. It's a rather difficult process because of how the files are packaged. I can unpack a bunch of .bins as well but I have no idea how to open them. "/ I remember making a thread asking about this back when IoH came out as I wanted to rip some of the pics for some things. Sorry I'm taking so long on the character portraits! Dx I'll try working on them tomorrow~ I promise I'll get 'em done. ^^; Also, here's the thread where I asked about image ripping. There's mention of a program called "CrystalTile2" but I can't seem to find it anymore. It's main site seems to have disappeared. >:T
Edit 1: Ohhh... lucky~ I just happened to find CrystalTile2 doing a random search trying to look for it myself again. Yay! Here's the link. This version is slightly translated (hence some of the random english here and there).
Edit 2: Hrmm.... seems to be just more hex coding. D| Well that doesn't help me. :C If you can make sense of this program please tell me! D:

I'm trying, but I'm not getting very far yet. Before you run CrystalTile2, you need to open the emulator, but that didn't do anything but make some pretty colors on the screen, and the palette doesn't help much if you don't know what to do with it. To break apart the NDS file, you need a program called NDSTool, but in order to use it, you need to either know how to enter the commands, or download a GUI (graphic user interface) so you can just press buttons. That's the DSBuff thing that someone on the graphic-ripping thread was talking about. Unfortunately, none of the GUIs for this thing will work without Microsoft's .NET framework, so I'm downloading that now. And when I tried this before, I still didn't get any further than finding the color palette in CrystalTile2, and finally got mad and shut the computer off. I know absolutely nothing about anything to do with video game coding other than how to copy ASCII art from another program and paste it into a FAQ.hikarushirou wrote:I've been wanting to know how as well. Do you mean closing the DS as in turning it off? Because that's what I thought you're not supposed to do. But I didn't turn off the DS I only closed it, so I could save batteries and come back to it later...xxaimlessxx wrote:well, miss anon... we all know you're not supposed to close it while saving... in all of the other games it even says to not close while saving... so i don't really think this is any big news.
but sad news for you. T-T work hard and get back to your previous state :D
Ah well. xP I guess I'll just wait for the English version to come out then, and go back to ToT. I don't want to have to start yet another game when the English version comes out.
