@Hana Wind: Yes, that's exactly what I mean! I guess screenshots are the only way to go with this one, unless someone else wants to try extracting from the game, because I am officially giving up. I've done as much as I know how to do, and I've only gotten a couple of responses to my questions on the spriting board, neither of which was particularly helpful. I've done as much as I can with the .bin file, and it's still not enough. There are stray pixels everywhere, LOTS of things are missing, and I don't know how to fix it. Plus, everything is in pieces, and I don't know what goes where. (For example, I've found two separate poses for Erich, three different heads, and four different facial expressions. If I had a screen shot of every single pose he has, I *might* be able to figure out which pieces go where, but if I had those screen shots, I could just erase the backgrounds from them and it would be probably a lot faster and easier, there would be no chance of making a mistake, and the colors would still be where they were supposed to be.)
If anyone wants to send me screenshots, I'd be happy to render them for you. You can post them here (if it's okay with Sessy) or PM them to me. (Might be better to post them where others can see them, though. It would be frustrating to go to a lot of trouble to get one only to find that someone else already had it!) Like I already said, though, I can't do any more myself because I'm stuck on the game. Oh, and if anyone else wants to try this, the images are in a file called face_data.bin (I can even send it to you if you want), although the palettes are NOT in .pal files, so I don't know what to do with them. They are there, I found them with Tahaxan, but that's all I know.
I'm sorry, guys, I really wanted to be able to do this, and I think a big part of the problem is just the way the game is done. Maybe someone else will figure it out?
Edit: Here's a render of Mucho from Hana's screenshot. It's missing pixels in a few places, like some of the Island of Happiness/Shining Sun and Friends were, but they're not that noticeable.

Thanks.Sesshomarulovesme wrote:Thanks, Stardust. You gave it a heartily awesome try and for that I commend you XD
*Salutes*
W.O.W.!! After seeing the screenshots, I can see why I was having so much trouble with the face images! There are pixels where there shouldn't be, no pixels in places where there should be, and the edges of some of these are missing because the game positioned them too close to the edge and the window border is covering part of it up. Especially Dirka. (Royd was okay, and Agi and Juris weren't *too* bad, but there were lots of pixels missing on Dirka's face, hat/feather, and ear and part of his feather is missing in two of them because he was too close to the edge and it got covered up. Agi and Juris both had extra pixels around the outlines and in the second one of Agi, part of his har was missing, but I was able to fill that back in.)Thanks for offering to help with renders, too! Here's some screen shots I took:
What program do you use? I have AnimGet for when I'm taking lots of shots of things moving around (like when I was doing the sprite sheets for Cute), but for this, since I have Paint Shop Pro, I don't bother with a program, I just use the "Print Screen" button and paste the image straight into PSP. I guess it would be a pain to try to do that with Paint, though, since you can't have multiple images open at once. Some guy faces... I'll take some more when my stupid screen shot program isn't on the fritz
Here are the renders of your screenshots:

There're noway to avoide it. Though you can upgrade your storagehouse to keep food fresh longer, but they still lost quality.xxaimlessxx wrote:does anyone know how to store food without it loosing its quality? persay tea leaves?? i want to try to make tea leaves seeds but i need to wait till fall... what will happen to the other tealeaves from spring and summer?
And you can make the Tealeaves Seed with only Spring Tealeaves (it need Spring+Summer+Fall). So you can make the Tea can with the Spring Tealeaves' Felix, you can make some kind of tea can sell for about 1000 G. And use the black tea can to joint the tea party instead.
I see, thanks! :DSesshomarulovesme wrote:You can use fertilizer on the trees/bushes
I'm pretty sure that the more fertilizer you use on them, the more the star qaulity rises. That's an educated guess though. I know the qaulity never goes down though (after two years of test hibernation, my trees were still at 5 stars).
This is for Stardust: http://www.mediafire.com/?jzgzownxqmu
It contains some of the facial expression of the characters. They are not completed yet. Clearing the background is not difficult, but some parts of the character may be covers by the arrow from conversation box. And there is a heart for the bachelors (I am playing as female). Also, I can never get the blushing faces of the bachelorettes, those for bachelors will always have a heart. So there are drawbacks for using screenshots.
Anyway, thanks Stardust for all your hard work on ripping the images! :D
I tried making one of Laramie's faces:

Some of them I might be able to fix. I can't draw, at ALL, but sometimes I can fill in missing places (those hearts don't seem to cover up too much of the shoulder area, I can probably edit them out), I've done enough sprite editing to do minor touch-ups. Thanks for these, I'll work on them tomorrow, probably. (I have a request shop and there are several requests waiting for me already.) Most programs allow you to turn off different layers, although if you're doing the shots as you play through the game, that wouldn't work. (The hearts, the conversation boxes, pretty much anything that shows up on top of the character is on a different layer from the face image. In *most* games, the background is also on a separate layer, so you can turn that off and have just your character against a solid black background. No one has a clue why the characters in this game are on the same layer as the background.)
Your render of Laramie is good, BTW.

I use Paint Shop Pro to take the backgrounds out. It has more tools than Paint and allows for transparent backgrounds. As for the pictures, they're playing the game on the computer, and taking screen shots as they play. (You can use the Prnt Scrn button on your keyboard--should be at the top right, near the Num Lock and Insert keys--to take a picture of whatever is currently on your screen, then paste it into Paint or another graphics program.)

RavensFire, since no one else has answered yet, I'll PM you about playing the game on the computer. We're not really supposed to talk about that on the forum.
Edit: The renders aren't going to get done tonight, and probably not tomorrow, either. The request I'm working on for my graphics shop is going to take some time. Fortunately, the renders don't take long, I can probably get them all done in a couple of hours. I'll try to post them Tuesday if the Internet cooperates. (I spend the night at work on Tuesdays, but I work in a group home, and I can watch TV or get on my laptop or even take a nap while the guys are asleep at night. But it's down the street from my house and the Internet connection isn't always the greatest, especially when there's bad weather, and it's supposed to snow.)
