Where to get salmon?(RF2)

Yeah, anyone know where I can find some salmon in Rune Factory?
And since I'm talking about fish here, does anyone know where I can get some skipjack?

Salmon-In menisha valley, in the stream.
SkipJack-In fall, at Alverna-Port.

Yeah, trying to catch salmon drives me insane.

Likewise. >_> So frustrating... my pack was almost full (though it contained tools) by the time I got my salmon.

If you want Salmon for a gift for Barrett... may I suggest Iron? Much easier to obtain with the same result in terms of FP. Try mining in Padova Mts. with a Battle Hammer, I find them especially frequently there...
If it's for cooking or anything else, well you'll have to be patient. =/

Well, I always go to Messhina Valley - Bridge To Shrine and fish there. It doesn't take long for me to get a salmon.
But I AM in 2nd gen. I don't know if it's different for 1st gen.
