Yeah, so I got the game for Christmas. Fell in love with it, and Joshua, oh, and Sho. <3

Anyway, I'm partnered up with Beat now, and I can't seem to erase the noise you have to face in the concert hall. Any tips? I don't particularly like Beat's attack mode, I much prefer Shiki and Joshua's.


Anyway, if you're not commenting on that, discuss your fave characters/battle styles/pins.

Ahh... I can't seem to erase the noise over at the concert hall either! I kind of blasted through the game a bit though, so I probably forgot to do SOMETHING.

On the other hand, this has to be the best game I've ever played. JOSHUA FO' THA' WIN.

But YAHOO this game is epic. Joshua is love. Pink/Blue FOR THE WIN! Another Day is so cracky.

I beat it. What chp are you on? And what pins do you have?

It's been awhile since I last played, so I can't really help much with the concert hall noise. Have you tried gamefaqs? Anyway, my favorite characters has got to be Sho Minamimoto. "So zetta slow" pwns everything!!! lol That, and he's got style.

Time to open up my game for my pin lineup: Purity launcher, blast warning, angel magnum, LIVE!, and peace full.

I would also like to point out that this game has some of the best music I've ever heard.

Chapter 3, day two with Beat, yeah?

I cannot fight with Beat. At all. It's so much easier with Josh or Shiki.

And I tried setting it to easy and everything. ._.

The pins I have on are the four I prefer playing with (can't rememebr nams, haven't got my DS handy):

The healing drink thing.
The Natural Puppy one which fires boomerangs
One that slashes enemies (no brand name) and
One that lets you fling items around (no brand name)

Joshua is my favorite partner. He starts out sucky, but his beam spam attacks where he floats = win.

And is there anyone who doesn't think Sho is awesome? Seriously, he rocks.

I like Sho, he is awesome, but there was one moment when the math made my head spin. I love the "Sine! Cosine! Tangent!" moment though.
That and when he started spurting out the first hundred numbers of pi or whatever.

I chcked the exact pins I had, and its:

Shockwave
Psychokenesis
Cure drink
Pyrokinesis or I'm been toying with Natural Magnum and Pop Pendulum.

PFFT, I can't stand Joshua. D8 The only time I liked him was while I had to beat Sho. I only used him and made Neku run around like an idiot on the bottom screen while he did everything.
Other than that, he can go die in a hole.

Sho, Beat, and Rhyme are my favorite characters. Well, I pretty much like everyone... except for Joshua. 8D

I was on the last battle but I couldn't beat it, so I turned off the game. I'm going to have to go back through the last few battles to get back since you can't save after you start. ;_;

Haha, in the battle with Sho I did the same thing. Make Joshua work like hell and have Neku doing random shizz. Though I made him attack Sho when I could...meh. Only if I had like a hell of a lot of health left.

You should upgrade yer pins a bit, touched. 8D (lulz touched)

I'm heading there now ._. I suggest try using already upgraded pins if not then it's okay..Are you on around lvl 38-45? Try leveling up a bit more before battle ._.

Healing drink is not helpful when you need it the most. I suggest you use "Splish Splash Barrier" But if you don't have that, *that was the upgraded ver* then use "Crackle pop barrier" Both of them form a barrier around you and they hurt any enemy that touches it while the barrier heals you. Heh, it's an awesome pin. Ahaha, you can keep the boomerang one, that's fine but as for the slashes I perfer you use "Yoshimitsu" It's just like it but it's Attack is 88 and has 16 hits before it's done :3 I use that a lot.

By now you should have "Velocity Attack" It's a pin that hits anyone in contact while your speeding pass them. They won't even have enough time to hurt you :3 It's a dragging type so it's not hard to use at all. It's my fav. other then "Splish Splash Barrier" so far it's only those two that really protect you while your using it.

I suggest having those in your slots :3 it's your choice but they make the battle soooo much easier XD

OH!! THIS IS IMPORTANT! D:< You know how you have an SYNC rate? Make sure that's 100% D:< Cuz it makes you partner work better D:<

I think for that one my pin setup was like this:

1. Hounder Magnum/Angel Magnum
2. Pop Pendulum/Casual Pendulum
3. Shock Wave
4. Cure Drink

My main strategy for that one was just to keep an eye on where the foes were on the top screen and button mash away, healing when necessary. With Neku I basically spammed whatever pins I could, then relentlessly attacked whenever the bat came out. You might want to equip some healing threads as well; whatever healing threads you have, for that matter. I think the best common regeneration thread at this point is Green with Envy (Molco Sheep Heavenly), with Plumeria Studs being the best (quest item at Shibukyu Stationside Pavo Real). Lovely One Piece (Cadoi City Natural Puppy) is another useful item to have, though it's pricier than Green with Envy.

Yeah. Regeneration threads are my best friends. For the most challenging boss battles I've faced (pretty much all of the main ones on Ultimate), I rely heavily on them. For me it's "drop everything and stay alive" at some points. I equip one each of the three threads I mentioned above on both of my characters, with the third one being somewhat random usually a fusion booster for the partner and something else for Neku). Those healing threads really come in handy for the bosses later on in week 3.

Oh, and for the sync rate thing? FEED BEAT MORE HAMBURGERS. Seriously, not only will it give you a nice HP boost when they digest, but they boost his sync rate like nobody's business.

As for my favorite characters? I'd have to say Kariya and Yashiro, actually, with Johsua after that. I kinda like Konishi, too, even if she is a cutthroat « Baaaa *glomp* ». ;]

Uh... favorite pin setup? Right now, that would have to be Lightning Rook x2, Velocity Attack/Wolf (sometimes both), Yoshimitsu, and Healing Bunny. When I'm doing Tip Pin, though, I use Visionary Blend, Raven, Tin Pin Golem, and a few others that I can't recall off the top of my head. I like using pins with the whammies that prevent you from falling off the edge of the table, since I need all the ones I can get. Now I've gotten better at using the Stinger whammy and the one that makes you dive bomb your opponent, but hammer always gives me trouble.

And my favorite partner? Depends. The « Mayor Thomas » Beam is always fun to watch with Joshua, but it's really annoying trying to use him against frogs and certain crab noise. I actually prefer using Beat, probably because its his stats are higher because I needed to really work on them for certain boss battles, like noise number 86 H/U and 82+84 H/U.


On a side note, I'm kinda looking forward to playing TWEWY again once I slow down my pace in FF IV; all I need to complete all the parts of the noise list are 96 on Normal, Hard, and Ultimate. Waugh.

I have no idea what the last two posters just said (most of it anyway), but I have like, zero levelled pins and stuff.

In the game there is this thing called SYNC rate. It is located at the bottom of you partner's status pic thingy. Make sure that is a 100% because it helps a butt load in battle XD
