Dagon 69 you've brought out something that I've been wondering about too, but in my case it's the shrimp!! In Gen 1, I would only catch a some shrimp and turbot and lots of sardines!! But when I got to Gen 2, and started fishing in Blessia Island Sandy Path, Shrimp and Turbot are as common as catching sardines near Blessia Island's entrance!! I also discovered to my delight that you could catch lobsters here But I was kind of disappointed to discover that lobster (about 300G) was cheaper than Fall Flounder (about 500G)!!

I never manage to find that spot. Tried a few times and every time ended up with nothing and my stamina bar went all the way down. Does anybody have a pic to show where we should stand?

If you check in my signature there's a link to the RF2 Mini Guide; there's a rather specific description there of where to find the spot. It's the bottom left part of the map, the water is covered by bushes so turn the sound up and wait until you hear a splash.

Also in regards to fishing: like Crazy DAC said, fishing level simply reduces RP consumption and does not increase your chance of catching a rarer fish. Charging your rod will net you a longer fish (more cm) but will not increase your chance of catching a rarer fish. As for a more advanced fishing rod, that may help your chances - I don't see what other effect it could have. I haven't gotten to 2nd gen yet so, not sure.
