So, I know there's no date out for SSaF yet, but I haven't bought IoH because I was holding out for this one. It seemed to be a "Special Edition" of sorts for IoH, and I didn't want to get -really- far in that one, only to sell it when this came out a little bit later.

However, I'm getting kind of sick of waiting. ^^; In the opinions of those who have both games, is SSaF worth the wait? Or should I just get IoH and see about buying SSaF when and if it DOES get released in the US? Also, if I do get IoH, is selling it to get some money down towards SSaF a good idea, or are they different enough to justify having both? o: Thanks in advance. ^^

The only things about IoH that might upset some are: 1) you have to use the stylus only, there is no option to use the D-pad; 2) It might be very hard to survive at the beggining, but if you work hard and know a lot about the game, you can get rich mining and fishing on Summer (among other things, it is easier to get money on IoH than on SS&F).

There are plenty of guides on the web about IoH and the problem is at the start, when you are not used to use the stylus and it is hard to get food (unlike SS&F, you don't get the diner and Café at the beggining). Read a lot and always come to fogu.com when you have doubt.

I love both games, though I think SS&F is more challenging, IoH have more people and I used to have more fun playing it. I am addicted to Harvest Moon so I saw no problem in playing two games that are similar. But it depends on you, if you will be still interested on the game if you play IoH...

I think SS&F will be released in the US, and at the end of the year (around september, october), but I can be wrong.

@Wadadabadoo: Well, you can use the D-pad for the tools you have the in the slots but that's it ^^

And yeah, in my opinion, get ioH while you're waiting =)

C'mon, people. I know Natsume is damn lazy but not that lazy. I hope the game will come out around March or May.

This is waaaaay against forum rules. Forum members can't help you decide what to buy. There are differences to IoH and SSaF, and you can discuss those differences, but no one should advise buying one over the other.
