catch it in the waffle town ocean (either from the town or from caramel falls district, but NOT from either of the gull islands) during the fall or winter. they are pretty common, actually. having a higher level rod may work though (I've played newgame+, so I start with lvl 3 each time- I forget if it was difficult to catch the first time through, but I don't remember agonizing over it, so probably not)

Do you think you could make up some kind of strategy for leveling up tools?

Oh, and a strategy on getting the bear's affection up enough to get to the HG pond? I'm REALLY stuck there right now..... >_<

Funny thing is, I've cought everything BUT Saury just about DX So I'm buddying up to the ginger cat at Maple Lake. He's at 3 hearts right now, giving him 2 fish a day.

I'm not sure if using the tools not leveled up (so, one square at a time for the watering can) or max leveled to the level gets you experience faster.

give the mama bear two honeys a day. you can buy decent honey from brownie ranch. two weeks of that (max) will get you enough.

you may need to have a level 3 rod.... are you sure you're in the fall or winter?

Never mind, I was fishing for fish to give the kitty and I caught one ;D Now I have Ben's and Collin's rainbows unlocked. I think I'll finish upgrading my tools to silver before I marry Luke, that way he won't be disappointed on our wedding night when he asks to see my tools.

you have to farm initially, there's really just no other way to make alot of money at the beginning. once you have the first rainbow completed and after you get taylor, you can grow flax and dye it blue and you'll have a gold mine.

but initially, you have to just grow crops and sell the right away so you have money to progress the story line.

Gill's request event answer is "I'll find it for you!". I would give you the others but Gill's is the only one that I can really remember at the moment.

No problem.

I also think that Renee's answer was something like "I'll bring it back!" and then there's a second part where you approach the windmill again and she'll say the wind is back, then she'll ask you if your the one that brought it back you say "It was me."
