My first time at the eating contest, Herman explained to me the rules and stuff. So, he's like 'STAAAARRRTTT' and I just sat there... waiting for a screen to pop up with me, Gorden, and Douglas all eating pie or something... and it never came. All of a sudden Herman's like 'Okay, STOOOP! Kyle, what a shame, you took 0 bites..' I was like, 'o________O...' xD

Probably the usual dropping something important and giving someone the wrong gift. My biggest non-RF botch up though was accidentally saving over my main file or turning the game off while saving.

Not sure if this counts as a botch up though. Probably does. Eh.

So, just started off second Gen, riding my Wolf around Trieste Forest doing some exploring. And then I think about going to the Wooded Paradise screen. Yes, that screen. Now having been there blissfully several times in first Gen, absolutely NOTHING could be there right?

I walk in, completely ignoring the save point and my greater instinct of experience from other various times of play RPGs.

This was me -

"Lalala, ooh - Wooded Paradise! Let's see what's here now~ Absolutely nothing bad can happen right~? Oh « Puppy Doodoo »! « Puppy Doodoo »!"

You can guess what happened. Mr Apple Tree of DOOM greets me. Not too bad of a thing right? I was level 6 at the time. With a broadsword and level 1 Magic. Needless to say I got owned soon after I got it down to purple health.

And when I died my game froze.

I'm scared of the Forest now

On another note, what level should I be to fight the senient apple tree?

And anyone else thinking of Kirby during the boss fight aside from me?

XDD Many people had made that mistake, haha. I'm still lvling up in gen one..currently lvl 11?

I think you can take it down at lvl 10 or so. I'm not moving on until lvl 14 tho D:

xD Glad to know it wasn't just me. I'm a bit paranoid at this very moment, so I probably won't be moving on until about Lvl 15 either.

Arghh i was so annoyed. XD i just bought the wrong pack of crops by accident, and it cost 10,000 G more than the plain white turnips i wanted .. maybe i'll reload my whole day's hard work..
