Went to P.Mountains. Level 5. Second gen. 'Nuff said. Dx
Holy « Puppy Doodoo » DX>
I seriously cried and then refused to play for three days. xD;;
I have little sulk sessions like that occasionally. XD Azure Dreams is one of the main offenders, I'll get loads of great stuff, then I'll get buttraped and killed by 5 monsters at once I won't play again for about a fortnight.

Anyway, I save every day in RF2, so I've never lost a months worth of progress before. I have, however, accidentally murdered crops while slashing at enemies; which normally leads to me reloading the save game and losing that day's progress.

I once gave an apple to Jake, when I meant to give him the onion and Tanya the apple; as far as I remember he wasn't particularly bothered, surprisingly.

I have also forgotten to check my fodder levels, so I didn't realise that I needed to buy some more; all my animals FP dropped from 4 to 0 before I noticed. D':

I always drop things after mining at Blessia Island.

I'll be holding some ore in my hand and think, "Why put it in my rucksack? I will be lazy and just carry it to the shipping bin."

-.-

So I reach the boat, press A to board it, then my precious ores fall into the sea XD

In the heat of battle needing to heal and throwing my last medical herb at the monster instead of eating it.

Thinking I can poison the monsters by making them walk over a poison patch. It didn't work and ended up poisoning myself. I also just cleared the field with my sythe (including all herbs) and I didn't have any with me to cure the poison.

I was playing, dropped the DS and the game died. I didn't even save for that month. D:
And this is why I save every night before my person goes to bed. =D I have done this for every HM game, I have always saved before sleeping, and I have never regretted it.

I'm thinking I might regret marrying Mana...she is a little boring, but I'd imagine Dorothy would be depressing. <-< I'd imagine they're all a little boring after marriage. So, Mana!

I've dropped an ore in the sea before.

Thinking I could still fish in Messhina Valley in the beginning of 2nd gen. XD lvl 12, needed me a Salmon...no, I had to go run all the way to the Shrine bridge area, lost about half, if not more, of my HP on the way. D:

I haven't done many big botch ups though.

^lvl 12, and it was already that bad? D: ..ack, looks like i'll have to level up some more..

And also, i remember being lazy about emptying my rucksack into the shipping bin in the middle of the day after spelunking through 3 caves, so i always end up running out of space at Blessia and having to throw an item away into the sea. (Usually a fish..) XD so now i ship items once at 2 pm and once at 11 pm, and i get cash in between :D

Also, if you're frantically doing something while there are monsters around, it's really easy to accidentally throw away an item in your hands rather than store it, or whatever. sigh. :( ..anxiety.

I went to sleep in a dungeon very late. In RF1 you got fatiqued if you went to sleep after 1 AM but in RF2 it's 3 AM , so I thought it was ok to stay awake after 1 AM in RF2. Anyway, I woke up but it was a holiday, and also a festival. I couldn't get cured and Ray was participating in the Eating Contest o_0

One day I deciced to get rid of worthless items in my backpack, shelves and fridges. The same day that statue in Messhina asked for 15 Scrap Ores...

Well, Messhina's the third dungeon. So, I wasn't really aiming to go there that early in the game anyways. <-< Know how in RF1 Carmite was first, Toros second, and so on? It's the same idea. In that little 8 year gap all the dungeons get harder, but there's more of a gap between each one.

So lvl 12 was good for Trieste forest, the first one. I did some minor leveling, like one level maybe to be safe, and beat it. Blessia was the second, got up to low 20s, and beat that. Messhina is third with Padova at 4th. I think that's something some people forget when they go into 2nd gen. They go to Padova immediately to do something and are killed in one hit. XD

Anyways, levels 10-12, perhaps a little higher, are suggested for when you jump just so you can beat Trieste. Go into 20s or higher and you start being too strong. :/

Confusing the water well and the shipping box. I lost an entire batch of pineapples that way.

I usually stay up and play Rune Factory 2 and usually I take a few minutes to rest my eyes and take a nap, but usually I fall asleep and forget to save it and then when I woke up my DS has run out of power and all that data lost :(

My game has also frozen up before, and now I actually save at the dungeon entrances before I enter the dungeons :lol:

Exactly what happened to me with a full harvest of potatoes, and countless ores too! Although I'm still lazy and carry stuff around town (quest items etc.) when I'm too lazy to put them in my knapsack, I only drop them when it's on the way to/from Blessia.
Another thing I botched up - marrying to early! I missed a bunch of marriage-related quests... =(

Dying. :< It depresses me. I save every night, but then sometimes I forget to save when going into caves. So I'll be late at night, just finishing up, and then I die when trying to heal...I'd just gotten two bees. GOSH those are frustrating to befriends. I was so frustrated, lost the entire day's work.

Ever since then I just save whenever I head into Messhina.

do the save points in front of the dungeons work like they did in RF1? Where it's a temporary save, and if you die again, all you data gets erased? (those kinda save points always freaked me out, so i avoided them..)

As of now, i have yet to try out the purply glowing save point pyramids in front of any of the dungeons. I always save right when i wake up at 6 AM, and then continue on with my day.

huh? I didn't know they were temporary saves...I thought they were true saves...hm. I never died much in RF1.

The purple glowing save points are amazing. I like them because then I can just save right there in front of the cave before mining, fishing, fighting, whatever. That way, in case I lose track of my HP and die, it's not a big deal, I'll just restart right in front of the cave and lose maybe an hour or two, not a whole day.

Ok, as long as they aren't temporary saves.

The glowing spots on the ground in RF1 dungeons were "quick-saves", and not permanent. So your file is deleted up to that point when you start up again, and i always feared completely losing all of my work. Unless that's not how quicksaves work? >.<;;
