The glowing spots on the ground in RF1 dungeons were "quick-saves", and not permanent. So your file is deleted up to that point when you start up again, and i always feared completely losing all of my work. Unless that's not how quicksaves work? >.<;;
...that's just how saves work.
You save at 6 AM in the morning in your hourse. go out. Don't save, but die at 6 PM at night. You haven't saved since 6 AM. this means that everything that happened between that time (6 AM and 6 PM) was deleted. It was actually never saved, so it never happened according to your file.
Same idea with the "quick saves". Unless I misunderstand them, I took them as the same thing, just in a different place. Hence why they're always before the bosses. You save before going in just in case the boss is too hard and you die. You just start back up in the room before the boss, same RP and HP as when you'd saved, and so you just make a different choice.
Oh. I understand how normal saves work, but i always thought quick-saves were different.
The description of a quicksave in RF1, if i remember correctly, was that it erases all PREVIOUS data and saves at that exact point, with all your stats, money, etc. at that time. And next time you load, you're sorta in limbo there and you wouldn't want to die again, because there wouldn't be anywhere to load to.. >.< so confusing.
But since the saves are outside the dungeons in RF2, it's probably different.
There are saves inside the dungeons, too. Before a boss.
BOTH SAVE POINT TYPES ARE THE SAME, HOME AND DUNGEON. DON'T ARGUE. xDDD
I made a worse mess-up~
On a roll, doin' lots of stuff, making sure to NOT. TOUCH. THE DUNGEONS. In the midst of my 60 LEVEL COOKING SKILL (17-60. You do the math.), my DS died.
...Guess who forgot to save.
You?
My biggest mistake was planting a whole field of spinach in fall for some money for 2nd generation, and then doing the school event a day before it fully grew.
Don't accidentally delete your file by tapping the Left & Right shoulder buttons of your DS while the game is loading up. It leads you to a "erase file" screen that looks super similar to the start menu, but the option comes up as "delete game" instead.
Thinking I equiped a watering can but equiped a sickle then charged fully and cut crops. Then I used my sword to fight and sliced my crops.
(clumsy with crops )
Hmm, you were fighting Pomme-Pommes and somehow glided elegantly into your crop field and slashed a few crops...? That sucks >< I did that once with Pineapples and I had to replant them even though only one was destroyed. 8 crops was just too strange.
