I think I did the same thing as Soapylion. I held my DS on its side and used my thumb to rub the A button really quickly. I won with forty-something. I didn't do it on the first try though, I tried different techniques but this one worked best.
I haven't tried using the stylus on the screen, I didn't try using the stylus on the screen 'cause I didn't think it was in the description of what to do...hmm
Yup, the "strumming" technique will often get it done. Place the tip of your finger right above the "A" button, and then when he says GO, just run it over the button, down-up-down-up vertically... this works very well ^^ You can get 45+ with this... I think all you need is 35 or above to win though.
It's a fertilizer to speed up crops... what a lame reward! I shipped it for the 500g... who wants to speed up the growth of ONE crop for only ONE day T_T I don't think it's worth it. So much for a "fabuuuloouuus priizee!!" (curse you Herman!)

It seems that the cucumbers were better than the Formula A, but atleast it raised the girls up even more.

Ah, I forgot about the LP boost... that's true, I guess that's one advantage of getting first place =/ Plus, I just had to crush Gordon and Douglas' hopes.
