Well, I decided to compile a bunch of information together to create these Mining and Fishing Guides. I think it'd be nice to prevent questions like "Where can I find __________ (insert fish/ore here)", and since not everyone can download guides I figure ones that are right on the forums are more convenient. If you anything to add, please feel free to comment! Anyone who helps out will be given credit. ^^

MINING

• Scrap Iron: Any cave
  Iron: Any cave - especially Padova Mountains
  Bronze: Any cave - especially Messhina Valley
  Silver: Padova Mountains, Messhina Valley
  Gold*: Padova Mountains
  Platinum**: Padova Mountains (Can also be bought from Yue)

Legend: * = Rare

::If you're having trouble finding an ore...
-Try using a Battle Hammer instead (bought from Tanya).
-Charge your hammer.
-Save before entering a dungeon (especially the ones with a small amount of mining rocks like Trieste Forest) and then reload until you get it, since the rocks don't regenerate until you sleep.
-Raising your mining skill may help you out, so mine every day! At least you can keep/ship the extras you don't need.

Needlefish: Alvarna - Port (Spring, Summer), Alvarna - De Sainte Coquille Square (Spring, Summer), Blessia Island - Altar/Old Ship
Sardine (18cm+ for Fishing Contest): Alvarna - De Sainte Coquille Square (Spring), Blessia Island - Summer Isle Port, Alvarna - West End (Summer), Alvarna - East End (Summer)

Love Snapper*: Trieste Forest - Sun Dappled Spot [2nd Gen] (To catch it, you must fish in the bottom left where the flowers are. Keep casting until you hear a splash - that's the right spot).

::If you're having trouble catching a fish...
-Patience is key... keep trying! Some of them are rare (I'll put an asterisk beside the rare ones that I know of) and are difficult to catch.
-Charging your rod will increase the size of the fish you catch. Raising your fishing level will reduce the amount of RP consumed.
- A good place to raise your fishing level is in the bathhouse. Time stops... and if you run out of HP and RP, you're ready to have a bath. You can't catch anything, but your fishing level will still rise.
-Try all the bodies of water on the listed map - sometimes there's more than one place to fish on a map, and they can yield different fish.
-If you REALLY need wood, try your well at your farm (you'll always get a branch), and if you need stones try the De Sainte Coquille fountain (you'll usually get a rock). ^^

PLEASE NOTE: As far as I know, fishing and mining spots do not change between first and second generation, though additional mining/fishing may become available as more areas are explored in second generation. The original, first generation spots remain.

You can also find Salmon in Messhina Valley - Bridge To Shrine. I also found a Crucian Carp in Messhina Valley - Serene Garden.

EDIT: Oh yeah, Chub is also in Messhina Valley - Bridge To Shrine, and Serene Garden. Lover Snapper is also in Trieste Forest - Sun Dappled Spot (2nd gen only)

You should put an asterisk next to Taimen, since that fish is pretty rare in 1st gen.

And also, shrimp can be caught in Blessia island entrance, Blessia island path to boat, and Alvarna east & west end. They actually appear in many places, but are pretty rare.

And you can also catch a different seasonal fish in your own farm pond. Spring is always cherry salmon, summer is chub, and i haven't gotten to fall/winter yet. XD

And you can also get needlefish in Blessia Island path to boat (don't know exact name, but it's at the beach inside the dungeon, which leads onto the boat deck.)

Hope this helps.. oh! and would you also be interested to know that..if you're desperate for some wood, then fishing in your watering hole will ALWAYS give you a branch. Fishing in the de-saint coquille fountain will ALWAYS give you a rock.

And fishing in the bathhouse..XP does absolutely nothing, but it gives you a place to lvl up your fishing faster if you want time to stand still and have lots of RP left over at 11:45 PM.

Thanks Misti^^ I hope so too... in fact the Likes/Dislikes list should be stickied too. Download-able guides are nice, but not everyone can/wants to download them (restricted computer, etc.) so I find the forum ones a bit more useful. I suppose too many stickies isn't good, but these lists would prevent lots of "Where do I find _____" topics.

LOL! Yeah they're all stuck on different topics for now. Ah well.

EDIT: Hmm. I sent a PM to all the moderators requesting the two topics (this one and the Likes/Dislikes) be stickied... so we'll see what happens. I think they're pretty busy so I'll be patient ^^

Oh and you can get platinum in the Padova Mountains. Very rare though I got it twice. And those diamonds, it's been 2 weeks yet aI still can't get it
