I always thought they were a fun thing. XD
Raguna gets an attitude with her though. *smacks him* See, this is why she married Lynette instead of you! *tomato'd*

I don't have the game yet, because it comes out in march (UK realise), I'll gladly talk about it because I want to know as much as possible before I play it!

@Anarani: Don't worry. I'm the most oblivious person in the world. XD A friend of mine had hair down to her butt and I did not notice that she actually cut it one day. Anyway, I second the Russell/Camus/Ivan fanclub! They are my favorite guys in RF! Sigh, such lonely bachelors, if only there was a girl version for their sake.

@Red Girl: Oh, you'll like RF. It's definitely different from the other harvest moons. Marriage is a little lacking though.

Is it different as in, some structure and completely different from the happy-cheery-nonviolent HM games?

I love the Idea of fighting!! Hopefully it'll be a farming version of the Twilight Princess game. I loved all the challenging fights in that!! ^.^

Let me list you some basic differences:
-There's a real plot! lol
-Your chickens, cows, and sheep are monsters that you've tamed. You can also tame other monsters as pets. :)
-Different festivals
-Marriage and a baby aren't the main goals in this game like other harvest moons. (At least, that's what it felt like to me.)

All in all, it's definitely worth it to buy. It'll keep you addicted. Fighting and leveling up was my favorite past time.

Awesome!! So it is a bit like Twilight Princess! (the monsters and fighting aspect + storyline!!) I can't wait now! I wish I had a time machine so it can be 6th of March so I can play it!!!

*Can't wait!!!*

How many kinds of swords are there?

Do you mean Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess...?

Uhm....not really. And yes, I've played and beaten TP. Twice.

LoZ (any LoZ) has dungeons and whatnot, but you can't really leave and expect to come back and beat it, they're those kinds where you go in and beat it at once or else the traps reset.

RF has dungeons and whatnot, but you can leave. Sure, monsters respawn, but that's not a big deal. You need to grow plants in the dungeons, not avoid traps.

LoZ has a ton of puzzles (you know, the traps) whereas RF does not.

Yes, they both have fighting. Yes, they both have adventure, kind of, but then, so do many other games. Assassin's Creed had adventure and fighting. FF has adventure and fighting (even more so than both those games, in FF you don't often revisit places whereas in TP and RF you do. Many times).

And in RF you also need to befriend people. In TP, whoopdedo if you befriend them, it's not as intense as RF.

Besides, to compare HM and LoZ is, imo, a little strange and silly. Don't get me wrong, I love both series, a lot, but they're on two different levels. To start, TP is amazing and on the Wii/GCube. RF is on DS. DS is already not as good as the stationary platforms simply because it is unable to handle that kind of stuff. The Wii/GCube are able to handle so much more than DS. Better graphics, better gameplay, just because it is that. That's why it confuses me when people try to compare "stationary" games to "portable" games, especially when they're different series entirely. They're not always comparable.

And this doesn't mean RF is bad. Not at all. You'll still enjoy it I'm sure, but don't be disappointed when it doesn't meet Twilight Princess standards.

Well.. You're right when you said it's not much like Legend of Zelda.. in fact, It's not like it at all really xD but It would be cool if the fighting style in RF was like Zelda, I'd love that :D

And about the weapons, different kinds, 1 handed swords, 2 handed swords, hammers, battle axes, things like that =] I don't know exactly how many of each there are but I've been going through the game with only one sword so.. Haha

I'm a sword person as well. I can't use anything else. I think I've been using the same one for about half the dungeons now. Soul Eater I think it was called. You can also fight with your tools, like your watering can, but I don't suggest making that into a habit. XD
