It's nice that you can change outfits, but it would be better if you could actually see the change on more than just your sprite.

Why reasons for why the RF2 1st gen has no change of clothing:

From the story POV:
A person who lost his memory and comes wandering into a village with no luggage is obviously not going to have much spare clothing. (This applies for RF1 also). There are no clothing stores, and early on, Kyle's going to be more worried about making money and getting fed then his clothing. Plus, as a farmer, you kinda expect him to smell a little.

Plus, by gen 2, you're playing as a kid. Your mom is obviously going to make sure you have some change of clothing (either she makes them, or knows someone who makes/sells them) .

From the POV of the developers:
Remember, RF is targeted at both guys and girls. Marvelous probably figured most people would get bored with gen 1 and get it over with quickly. The majority of the game takes place in gen 2, so a need for some change is necessary.

As for why they don't change the color of our image too...considering what a pain it would be to recolor all those sprites + their animations... I think the developers have some more interesting things to program. >_>

Plus, considering our character design, I'm not sure I want to see the eyesores that might result if they did all those recolorings.
