Let me say thanks soo much for this guide. I found especially the crop and gift guide helpful.
I would like some help please, if someone can give it. It's a bit of an odd problem so if not, that's ok.
Are there some hidden requirements for festivals? I tried seeing Alicia's shooting star festival on two entirely different games, not just files, but games, and I could not get her to accept my invitation to the Shooting Star Festival!
I had her at 10 LP and FP on the first try, and 10FP and 9LP on the second. Now I sort of hibernated a lot, but when she rejected me at first I went back and did as many bulletin board quests as I could in 3 days and she still refused. I had this same problem way back many months ago, and just assumed you couldn't see the festival in gen 1 but...
Now I'm on my fourth try, and my friend was kind enough to hibernate for me on her game and try to see the festival, but on her game she said yes! But on all 3 of my tries she said no, and so..
There must be some hidden requirement. That's all I think of. I mean what are the chances of a glitch happening on two separate games entirely? And on three different files across the two separate games?
Any thoughts? Any hidden requirements you could think of? (All of her quests except the last one, which warps directly into marriage, were done.)

OK, so I just gave up on raising the rest of Alicia's LP and getting a full quest completion list, so I went ahead and married Julia. Then I realized how boring the game is after marriage.
Is there really anything else to do after marriage other than getting ready for second gen?
Also, I'm only a level 5, and I will get killed if I'm not higher... Is it a very stupid idea to enter second gen at such a low level? And how can I boost my overall level quickly?
Well, apart from building the school and such, not so much. But you can befriend all the towns folk and get some interesting bulletin board requests (I know there is a huge fanbase for the Max ones for being very poetic and interesting). Also you can see all the rival weddings, etc.
And well, on my friend game I went into second gen at level 7. I certainly needed to level up, but I had a 10LP wolf from gen1 with me to help me fight, and that helped a bit. Now I couldn't handle any bosses at that, due to monsters being warped away before bosses, but yeah... So really, either you're gonna be leveling up in gen1 or gen2, doesn't matter much imho, just leveling in gen2 is a bit more of a challenge.
