Events for RF2

I thank all you guys and gals for all the posts on my question about your favorite monster in RF2.

As you guys/gals have all probably seen in RF2, some of the events in the game are totally wasted and boring. for example in the swimming festival at the 1st day of summer, the townspeople stand around and go on and on about wanting to put on their swimming attire and going in the ocean and how excited they are, but they don't actually do anything!!!

For this post, i was wondering if you guys and gals could give your opinion on other events that they could have included in RF2 that are from other Rune Factory or Harvest Moon games. For example I wish they had a "Stocking Festival" in RF2 just like the one they had in Harvest Moon. In this event mayor Byron would play the role of santa and he would put a gift in your stocking if you had one.

If you haven't played any of the other Harvest Moon or Rune Factory games or don't miss any events from the past games, why not make up your own events for the game. For example, i wish that RF2 had a "Forging Festival." in this festival, Tanya the blacksmith lady who owns the weapons shop in your town, will appropriately be the judge. you will go up against Jake (because he works in a forge) and Barrett (because he teaches about weapons) and each of you will create either a weapon (swords, spears, etc.), a shield, or an accessory depending on what Tanya says. whoever has created the item with the highest level will win.

I think they should have kept the tomato throwing contest, for second generation. It would have been a cute game for the kids to play.

Harvest Moon 64's New Year Drinking Festival was the best festival ever. I want to drink Natalie under the table. DDD:

And I wish they'd had people wear bathing suits for the swimming festival. I wanted to see the girls in their cute little swimsuits... ;-;

"Big Cook-Off Contest"
And Herman was the judge. It was in second generation.

I wish there was a contest that teamed you up with your wife... how cool would that be! I guess it'd be really hard to do... but... still!

The contestants for the Drinking Contest would be the player's character against Natalie, Gordon, and Doug.

I guess i would be like the eating contest, the more times you press A the more times you take a shot and whoever takes the most shots will win

You could do the racing contest with the wolf, or something simular. Or maybe the frizbie contest with a Goblin catching apples or something.

-I actually miss that random festival in FoMT/BTN/MFoMT where you had to go to the church and play an instrument. Except this time, it'd be more interactive. Like Louis' event in STH.
-Swimming Festival. Where you SWIM. SERIOUSLY.
-A REAL Harvest Festival.
-The 'Day Kyle Disappeared' Festival. xDDDDDD

Oh! That was so fun.
It was one of those cute festivals that like, were so random but it was so meaningful in a weird way.
I love that festival. And completely forgot about it until you mentioned it. XDD
