I'm even worst. At first I name them after anime characters, than I got so lazy that I just name them one, two, three or A, B, C.....

I must be really lazy. Mine are all like:

QBee1, QBee2, ...
Cow1, Cow2, ...
Shep1, Shep2, ...
Orc1, Orc2, ...
PGob1, PGob2, ... (Pirate Goblin)

I think you get the idea.

I usually name them something weird; whatever I come up with...sometimes I get a theme going, but not often. :3

I...can't remember my monster's names... O.o

I name them mostly after my most favorite anime/manga characters and friends.

Except for queen bees. I name them after my most hated RF1 and RF2 characters.

i dont really have a system but maybe i should. i named my reaper looking monster 'slash' because of his sickle....not very original im other HMs my cows names were like, milky, utters...chickens-clucky,cheepi.

I remember something!! In past harvest moon games, I actually named my sheep after Greek heroes like Perseus, Bellerophon, and Ajax

Yeah.. I really wish that you could have longer names :p then we could get more creative!

That's what I've always wondered about . why can't they give us more letters/spaces to work with? I remember that in Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral Town I named one of my sheep after the Greek hero Bellerophon and i think there was an extra space for one more letter is it an issue of memory with the cartridge? is just a random number that the creators picked? that's one of the things that I wish would change for the next Rune Factory for the DS more letters!!

That's a really interesting system you have, I just go with whatever comes to mind. Except for my first chicken which is always named Clux. (named after my first chicken, back when I first got HM 64.)
