Do I need to use these as the plants are seeds or as fully grown? It doesn't specify and I don't want to chance using it up on accident to not have it work =/ Any help? (Oh! and does it work for the whole 9X9 or just one square?)

They need to be used on the seeds, not the full grown. They only work on one square, not the whole 9x9
