Runaway Bride

As most of you know, one of the unique features of Rune Factory 2 is the option to "steal" a bride at the altar, if you have them at 10 LP

I actually did this to Cecilia and Jake's wedding in the Summer 2nd year. After all the townspeople have congratulated the happy couple, my character was the last to walk up to the newlyweds and Cecilia said ...

"Yes, is there something you wish to say?" Then I was given two choices..1.)Congratulations on your marriage 2.) Marry me instead...I choose option 2 and Cecilia said something like "I was waiting for you to say those words" (probably not 100% and word for word accurate) and me and Cecilia leave the Altar..

Not Suprisingly, Jake says: "This is why I hate humans."
Gordon, the priest and Dorothy's and Cammy's father laughs and says: "Ha Ha Ha Things like this happen." "A real man knows how to roll with the punches." Just be happy for them."
Jake:"B...But"

Not surprisingly, his FP dropped to 0 afterwards.

For this post i was wondering if any of you guys or gals waited for the marriages of the other couples and how the conversation went afteryou stole the bride.

thanx for your posts

I've never had to bother with thinking about stealing the girl I wanted if I hadn't married her yet, but then again... I married Yue! :D

Still, I kinda like how you can steal a bride in this game. And how realistic it'll be when the groom will grumble and such, then hate your guts.

But I've never stolen a bride, considering like I said... went after Yue, who has no default marriage at all, unless you marry one of the girls that do. I could never bear to watch the friendship points that I worker so hard to get up, drop with just stealing the groom's bride and all.

Then again, tho, they will go back to zero in 2nd generation. D:

I'm thinking of stealing Rosalind since I don't care for Ray.

That's the best feature in this game.
Like. I love raining on people's parades so it's perfect for me!

Though it's a shame I have no patience to do it to Dorothy and Barrett. Their wedding is too many years into the game for me to want to bother.
And I really like Ray so I wouldn't want to do it to Ray.

Doing it to Jake sounds hilarious though.

AubergineBianca has the wedding vids on youtube... but I wish she had the stealing-at-the-altar vids. Those would give me a good laugh... that IS a pretty darn awesome feature in the game. It comes second though... showing the amount of water in the watering can comes first :)

I was REALLY tempted to do this with Cecilia, but I want to do it right. So once Winter rolls around, she's mine. It'd be too weird to have everyone congratulate my enemy and make me feel like the « Baaaa *glomp* » for just taking her at the end. Yeah, the main reason I'd want to steal her would be to take Ceci from Jake. XDD

I feel bad for the jilted groom but every time I hear the music that screams "VICTORY!!!" I can't help but giggle. XD

I'm tempted to try that with Barrett and Dorothy at least once in my gameplay.

So what happened to Jake's FP after the wedding? Did they drop?

I was going to do this (with Rosiline) but I just couldn't wait much longer. My character was already 16th level and I had over a million gold by the end of second Spring. If I had waited until the last wedding (Max's I think, in the fourth year). I would have had more items/gold/skills than I would have known what to do with in Gen2.

Ah.
Well, he -hates- humans to begin with.
So I never cared for Jake much. His voice is HILARIOUS though.

Like. It reminds me of what one of Santa's elves would sound like. o.o

LOL.
XD Yes! His 'morning' voice is funny. But it's even better when he's all grumpy and says 'WHATTT???'.

It's so funny. I love hearing the voices. Some of them are okay while others are really scary.

Anyway, having the FP go to 0 doesn't sound too bad. I mean, you can make up for it in the 2nd generation anyway. And if not, well, at least it adds dramas!

I don't know about you guys but if you listen to Leonel when he says "Morning" he sounds exactly like Jake :o Did they run out of people to do voices?
