Well, there's a part later in game where every 12(+1) girls are going to grow a crystal flower in order to save Mist, and when the flower blooms, it turns to be different crystal and color for each girls, and they're coming from each zodiac and its respective birthstone

Since i was bored today, I randomly read article about each zodiac personalities at wiki and tried to match them for each girls out of curiosity
some of them would match perfectly, but some are totally the opposite
even though if you think from their Birthday, it'll be totally different zodiac

like Melody
Her Crystal Flower is Amethyst, for Aquarius
but her birthday is 11 Spring, which would make her 1-3 April (if we use standard season calendar), and she should be Aries

From what i've read from wiki's article, She seems to have Aquarius trait more than Aries, like
Humanitarian and Friendly, (not so) Extreme eccentricity, likes good companions, and dislikes loneliness, plus Independent
But she has Aries trait like Courageous, stubborn, and getting along well with Sagittarius (Lara's flower crystal, and they befriend each other at Frontier), although Aquarius is also count into good relation with Sagittarius as well

So, let's list and compare every girls by yourself!
Mist
Crystal: Diamond (Purity, creativity and brilliance)-Aries
Birthday: 1 Fall-Virgo

My Opinion: Aries
Aries trait: Aries is the 1st zodiac and Diamond is king of all gems, which can explain her role as main girl, Straightforward, Generous, Foolhardy
Virgo Trait: Polite, Reserved, Cool, Witty

Tabatha
Crystal: Emerald (Love, Romance and Faith)-Taurus
Birthday:12 Fall-Libra

My Opinion: Libra
Taurus trait: Dedicated, Determined, Loving, Reliable, dependable, trustworthy, Stable, Patient, Loyal, faithful, likes nature and natural things
Libra Trait: Diplomatic, Peace loving, Charming, Elegant, graceful, Kind, Gentle, Refined, likes Feeling balanced and Harmony and peace,
Tabatha's really hard, she's totally fits into both category
Her loyalty to Bianca (which seems to be more obvious at RFF) totally fits for Taurus, but to think her natural trait and purpose, Libra is her

Elis
Crystal: Pearl (Sincerity, Faith, Charity and Innocence)-Gemini
Birthday:23 Winter-Aquarius

My Opinion: Aquarius
Gemini trait: Aside of the obvious 'Twin',
Charming, Imaginative, dislike loneliness, likes Talking
Aquarius trait: Friendly, Independent, Fighting for Causes, likes good Companions, dislike loneliness, likes having Fun, fascinating
Another hard one, but the opposite of Tabatha, kinda hard to find similarity between the zodiacs and her trait

Crystal: Ruby (Passion, Wealth and Wisdom)-Cancer
Birthday:26 Spring-Taurus

My Opinion: Taurus
Cancer trait:Conservative, Loyal, Tenacious, Getting along well with Pisces (Uzuki crystal zodiac)

My Opinion: Uhh....

What an Irony, for someone like her get such a feminine zodiac and trait, both crystal and birthdate xD
Almost all of Virgo's trait are opposite of Selphy's nature, even though if you see her lady-like appearance and typical virgo physical trait, it fits her
But this is why i love her

Rosetta
Crystal: Opal (Hope)-Libra
Birthday:21 Fall-Scorpio

My Opinion: Libra
Libra trait: Sociable and easy-going, Sensitive to others, Kind and Gentle (as shown by her attitude and gratefulness to her father, Danny, Ragna and Mist) , Cheerful, Romantic, Flirty

Crystal: Topaz (Fidelity)-Scorpio

My Opinion: Cancer
Pisces Trait: Dislike being criticized, naive, likeable, sensitive,
Cancer Trait:: Emotional, Loyal, Sensitive, tenacious
Quiet hard one, but her relationship with Tsubute put me to choose her as Cancer

Of course, there are a lot which are not fit at all, not to mention it didn't put many negative traits there and i'm not into astrology myself so i don't know much,
And maybe people don't know much about each new girls yet now
but then again, this is just for fun
we can do it once again after more people playing the game xD

Opinion or Additional Info? Which fits better, Flower Crystal or Birth date?

I'm Aquarius myself, which mean i could be either Melody (Flower Crystal) or Elis (Birthdate Wise)
but personally, i can see myself related to Elis better than Melody (mainly because of the cheerful and social trait of Melody, which i lack)

Nice job Syvle =0 This is pretty awesome =). Amazing how much certain girls match up (Tabatha, Rosetta, Melody etc.). But my theory about Zodiac traits is that they were made to suit everyone... like, they're pretty vague, not too specific, and they can apply to most people. I wonder if Marvelous planned this or not? I doubt it but it seems like some of them match up nicely.

Yeah, I do have qualities a lot like Tabatha. Probably why I'm having such a hard time deciding on what file to marry her in (in RF1 and RFF). Huh. Really interesting.

Yup, I'm agree
most of traits are just pretty general and easily can be found in others, although some more specific than the other, like Virgo

Another interesting thing is the relations between each girl gemstone and their personality, like:
Drop-Ruby (Wisdom. Quiet obvious for me.)
Uzuki-Aqua Marine (Courage, even though she's obviously not a courage one, but you can find this hidden quality inside her)
Bianca-Peridot (Openness and Acceptance in relationship, contrary for her aloof and selfish attitude)
Selphy-Sapphire (can symbolize Dream comes true, like what happened to Selphy and her life now surrounding by books, just like what she always have dreamed)
Lara-Lapis Lazuli (seems to have long history for health and protection purpose, explain Lara's job as Nurse who's really concerned about everybody else)
Anette-Topaz (Fidelity, explain her devotion for her job very good)

and the rest which are not so obvious or no relation at all?
Mist-Diamond (Innocence and Purity, because of her air-headness? Actually this fits Elis more but...)
Tabatha-Emerald (uhh, for the Love one?)
Elis-Pearl (the innocence one is the 1st comes to my mind)

On anyways, I like Rosetta, My stone is Opal too, and in "Harvest Moon" saying, I was born in Fall 20, 1 day before her. (October 10 ends up being Fall 20 in HM? woah x_x)
Even if I love Mist, I'd have liked Ellis to have the main role here...
