Can't get roses for Rosalind

She is at 10LP and Max is at 7FP, I go into his room after about 9pm but the dialouge about giving him tomatoes in exchange for the roses does not come up. I managed to get them before but then my DS died before I could save, and I can't seem to get them again. I'm not sure what day or time I got them last time.
Is there a certain time I have to ask? Thanks for any help

So you've had the convo with him, and saved?
Then just give him the 9 tomatoes and he'll give you the roses.

I think you should go back to the request board in the middle of town and make sure that rosalind's request is still selected. Then do what you did before and you should be fine!!
