How does it work? I've been giving people vegetables and it isn't increasing their friendpoints?

Nothing happens during this festival, the townspeople just talk about being "grateful to nature." just remember to talk to all the townspeople to increase their FP/LP points.

So your vegetables aren't important at all?

Unfortunately, your vegetables aren't important at all. the harvest event is similar to the swimming festival at the beginning of summer. in this event all the townspeople talk about how they want to "try on their swimsuits" or that they "want to go in the ocean so badly", but like the harvest festival they just stand around and do nothing

what a waste of a festival

I agree. o__o
You think they'd put some more excitement into these festivals. There's not much to do in them at all.

I think that if they can't think up of a good festival, they should just copy some from harvest moon or at least copy a festival from HM and sort of modify it a little bit at least a good "festival day" won't be wasted.
I"ve never played RF1, and I want to know if there are any "wasted" events/festivals like the harvest festival or the swimming festival in RF1.....

all of the festivals in RF1 are a waste.
they're good for getting friendship points though!
