It takes 35 bites to win - try "strumming" the A button - hold the DS on its side and run your finger up and down vertically... that should get you many bites. Good luck^^

I wish I knew that tip earlier, Kupo. xD
Heh.

I think the prize is really lame, right? Isn't it always that Formula A stuff? XD Or B? I can't remember what it even is.
If anything, I'd just want to win for bragging rights. Guess I'll have to wait until next year.

I can't remember which festival it was, There was one prize that I could remember that I won which was very good. It was called "Invincroid," it looks like a black bottle and it raises up your abilities. :) unfortunately I wasn't paying attention and accidentally shipped it NOOOO :shifty: I actually could make another one but I have to be at least a pharmacy skill level of 50-60 i think, well right now I'm only at 6 so I have a long way to go :(

Yeah... unfortunately it's Formula A. The next contest... I believe it's the Monster Contest? Is Formula B. The vast majority prizes for Festivals in RF2, are downright horrible ._. Though there are most likely one or two good ones...

Heh, I didn't know it either until after the contest ._. I'd been getting 33/34/32/33 etc. and I just kept trying, finally it was late and my bedtime so I tried one last time (pretty halfheartedly) and whaddya know, 35. XD Just barely... ._. It's the only difficult contest though all the others are a walk in the park. And yeah, the only high point of almost all festivals is the FP boost. ._. How unfortunate =(

I think that the prizes get better in the festivals in Gen 2.

I'm actually in Gen 2 now and somehow I messed up in the monster taming contest and came in second to Leonel of all people. I actually received this vegetable dish and, i can't remember the name of it at the moment, but it was worth 9,000G!! Compare that to the first place prizes of Formula A or B in Gen 1 which I think are only worth about 1000G or 2000G when you sell it. So I'm thinking that if they gave something that was worth 9,000G to second place, the 1st place prize must have been really great and more expensive:) I can't wait to win the next festival and see what the first prize is :P

Wow^^ Another reason to look forward to 2nd gen as well... Not even, the Formula A is worth like 500 or something and Formula B is around 700. ._. Ugh... well I guess they baby you enough in first gen that you don't need prizes to help you out even more... I still would have appreciated maybe a commemoration item, like a little ribbon or something for every contest you win, that'd be nicer than some Formula T_T

Sorry about the prices of the Formula A and B being way off, I was just guessing :( Thanks for correcting me Kupo  !! I just checked my game the dish is actually called "Union Stew" Description: "A pot filled with a bit of everything. Cooked at the table, everyone must battle to grab what they want."

Whoops sorry I just realized how snotty I sounded, "Not even..." XD Sorry I mustn't have been thinking >_> But thanks for being nice about it. Union Stew? O.o Oh the descriptions means it's like hot-potting, I love hot-pot.^^ On an off-note, the item descriptions in RF are quite good, even the herbs: "...how bitter? Let's just say very, very bitter." There's always a little bit of humour mixed in there... go Natsume!

Don't worry about it Kupo  Have you won something called "Invinciroid" in one of the festivals? It looks like a black bottle and its description is "Medicine that heightens all abilities. One swig turns you into a superhero!" I'm curious how much it raises your stats, probably not much since it's only worth 1,800G. I won one before but I accidentally shipped it :(

I'm pretty good at rapidfire button-pushing, so I didn't have trouble winning it.
But the prizes are PATHETIC.
And I didn't know the Invinciroid was only 2 hours... what is that?! I might as well ship it like you said.

BUT...
maybe it's intended to be a temporary boost while fighting a boss battle?
